I need a middle name for my new dog.

My mum and I have shared parentage of a Westie called Tilly. She is a bit lonely and sad, so we are adopting a new Westie of a similar age and disposition called Hattie.

Now, as you all know, anything that may ever need to be told off needs a middle name so they can be “fullnamed”. Tilly’s full name is Matilda Jane. Hattie will be Harriet, but we need a middle name for her....

Harriet Deborah Vane, to be pedantic. Which in the context of 'fullnaming', you should be.Grin

If she’s being told off a lot she should have a Suffragette name, so I vote for Harriet Emmeline.

ErrolTheDragon · 22/09/2019 00:53

Oh, look at that little face, this full name is surely never going to be needed anyway?

ElevenOhFive · 22/09/2019 00:58

She looks like a Harriet Joyce to me

I love that I am not the only one who has a dog with a middle name.
My dog is Gary Barry Surname . He also has a cousin Arnie Barney Surname. For your dog I would name her
Harriet Helen. Good luck with your two beautiful dogs

Our pets have all had middle names.

The children were particularly young when they name the kitten Abacus Fluffball Surname (aka Abbie).

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 22/09/2019 09:23

We are getting her next Monday as she is on holiday with her foster mum at the moment so we have 8 days to decide.....

She is very unlikely ever to be full named as i’m Sure she’ll be an absolute angel like Tilly is...

Harriet Joan.

Bobdogs full name is Theodore Albert surname, everyone calls him Teddy except me, I call him Tedbert, good combination of both, unless I'm telling him off then he is, fullnamed.

Loving Harriet Rose as my favourite.
Our cat is Tomtom unless naughty then he's Thomas Micheal surname - family middle name same as my son and husband, so he's one of the boys. X
