What would you do?

Mine would be assembling Ikea furniture, either in store or in peoples houses.

I love building it, it's very therapeutic.

@ArtisanPopcorn theamericanroadtripcompany they're out testing routes at the moment!

Letitbegin · 20/09/2019 07:52

Hairdresser and I love it

Crankybitch · 20/09/2019 07:57

I’d love to develop houses but live abroad so it’s not possible here

Would love to write a book that gets made into a film so I can have a walk on part 😂

BareBelliedSneetch · 20/09/2019 07:57

I’d be a buyer for museum shops. I LOVE a good museum shop. The National Space Centre is one of my favourites. That and the Natural History Museum.

30not13 · 20/09/2019 07:58

@troysmammy 😄

Carpathian2 · 20/09/2019 07:59

I'd love to be an archivist in a museum or stately home. All that nosing around in dusty boxes and possibly finding something not seen before. I would be happily lost for hours

SimonJT · 20/09/2019 08:01

Rugby player, I was for a while, but the league I was in didn’t quite pay enough to quit my main job.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 20/09/2019 08:02

Tv critic

purpleolive · 20/09/2019 08:11

@Carpathian2 I'm an archivist and sadly it's not like that at all, I always remember being told to enjoy rifling through the boxes as a volunteer as it would be the last chance I get! I think only possessive academics or retired groundkeepers who become "honorary archivists" of stately collections get to do that, then don't let anyone see them 😂

jobbinggogger · 20/09/2019 08:17

I have amazingly good ideas so that would be number one, as long as I was well compensated. I run a business which I enjoy but would love to run a forum. Finally, anything creative and well paid!

homemadecommunistrussia · 20/09/2019 08:31

I've always fancied being the person who buys furniture and all the domestic stuff for film or telly. Especially ooglies
I'm a great shopper, but have a limited budget and always feel guilty about waste, if it was my job I could relax.Grin

littlestrawby · 20/09/2019 08:35

Professional violinist, but one that just performs in the orchestra rather than being a soloist Grin and preferably one that is paid very well with minimal travel!

LollipopViolet · 20/09/2019 08:40

Figure skating coach. I'm currently working towards this, need my skating to be at the right level then I can start training as an assistant coach :)

ExpletiveDelighted · 20/09/2019 08:46

Gardener in the walled garden of a NT property with Victorian greenhouses and coldframes.

Threedaysaweek2019 · 20/09/2019 08:59

Growing veg in the greenhouse, but I need to learn to grow things over the winter as well as during the summer.

I think about growing salad stuff and selling it as a pack, eg lettuce or rocket, tomato, onion, radish, cucumber, but I don’t think I’ll make much.

ArtisanPopcorn · 20/09/2019 18:34

@pimbee thanks! Planning a USA roadtrip in a few years when my DD(5) is old enough to enjoy it (and old enough so that we can enjoy it!) I enjoy the planning as much as the doing so this is fab!

iklboo · 20/09/2019 18:36

Gin taster

Queenoftheashes · 20/09/2019 18:36

I’m not discerning enough to be a food critic but I like eating it so I’d have to be Royal Taster - tasting all meals for some controversial monarch who suspects assassins of trying to poison them

BonnesVacances · 20/09/2019 18:38

I'd make an excellent personal shopper for gifts. If I could get paid for doing that, all my dreams would come true.

historysock · 20/09/2019 18:45

Interior design. With unlimited budgets!

SuzieBishop · 20/09/2019 19:49

Working for the Royal Collection as a curator

HRH2020 · 20/09/2019 20:35

I think I'd like to run a tea shop slash community centre

opinionminion · 20/09/2019 20:39

Blackhead squeezer Grin

Ronsters · 20/09/2019 20:59

Id love to write the blurb for holiday cottages, "set in acres of rolling farmland", some really ham it up, but that would be a great job.

This isn't very ethical, but also writing essays for students who can't be bothered. My degree is in English Lit, and although I don't have the time or inclination to do another degree, I would enjoy doing the odd essay. I wouldn't actually do this, but theoretically it would be enjoyable.
