On Day Break this morning claiming shes now a Muslim, and telling about when Prince tried to attack her and she was having to hide in a bush and was spitting at him Shock

Am I being over the top in thinking that shes been exploited by the TV show, and that she sounds quite unwell?

She’s been unwell for some time. This current phase is quite disturbing and ah well shouldn’t be interviewed for entertainment purposes.

She reverted to Islam years ago, afaik, and has been ill for years. I agree with you, OP, that it is exploitative and irresponsible of tv shows to have her when she’s going through what appears to be a manic phase in her Bipolar Disorder. Nothing more than a modern day version of the Victorian fairground ‘freak show’.

She is very unwell, I used to follow her on Facebook and she would quite regularly attack people and make accusations about them, including her older children and Dr Phil.

I hope her newfound religion brings her some peace.

She possibly is being exploited by TV, but at the same time it is how she makes her living. At one point not too far back she ended up homeless and then living in a hotel room.

In that case, it is a very unhealthy symbiotic relationship. What about the music? She is a singer/songwriter, that is what she is famous for. The shock value of the behaviour as a result of her illness may have taken a front seat in the tabloids in recent years but she is known for her musical talent.

Bad MH issues for a while. Looks like she's making a comeback and the way they were fawning over her my thought was that they were trying to boost her confidence (whilst getting viewing figures at the same time). She still has a strong voice, but it isn't what it was in her hey day.

She still has that amazing voice though ! I don't know much about her MH issues, but she seems to be in a good place in her recent interviews., I do hope so for her and her kids sake.

The Prince story is one she's been telling for nearly 30 years and it gets more embellished every time! She is very unwell and the fawning over her makes me uncomfortable. Her craving for attention is part of her illness/personality disorder and I'm not sure how helpful it is.

I just looked up the video on YT. I think she sang very well. I like Sinead, although I feel she’s lived a troubled life and does suffer from poor mental health. Nonetheless I wish her well.

The interview made me very uncomfortable. I do feel her MH issues are being exploited by tabloid news.

I met her for work several years ago. She was lovely but it was very clear she was suffering.

Her voice is still incredible though.

She isn't at all well. She has had mental health issues for a number of years and at the moment is clearly struggling. I really hope her religious conversion brings her some measure of comfort in her battle against what must be a very isolating and debilitating condition.

Her various therapists exploited her too. One had a relationship with her. He must have been a right cowboy.

I dont think she is necessarily that unwell. She just cannot regulate or disguise the emotions she feels. But a lot of people feel these normal emotions. Nobody is asking them on chatshows to try and put their quest for security and belonginh in to words though.

Clearly believe she's gone mental totally to convert to Islam. And then she had the cheek to say Prince attempted to assault her (I reckon it would be like baptising a cat, so I believe her account).

But don't believe her.

She's worth a fortune in royalties, she doesn't really need to make up shit about Prince. It's quite offensive actually to suggest that someone stating something that happened to her must be unwell....
