On Day Break this morning claiming shes now a Muslim, and telling about when Prince tried to attack her and she was having to hide in a bush and was spitting at him Shock

Am I being over the top in thinking that shes been exploited by the TV show, and that she sounds quite unwell?

Sorry but he has so much form for coming out with these things. Maybe she believes these things did happen. I dont at all judge her for it I just wouldnt take her word for it.

Yadid, I'm Irish and I don't think Islam is the best answer no. We are all steeped in the legacy of religion here. Any religion can be used as a source of comfort if you are free to take from it what speaks to you and not have it domatically dictated to you and or linked to your state. So I suspect that is the difference, or the 'draw' .
Can you visualise yourself going through rough patches and turning to christianity to give you a peace thst your own religion never gave you?
It is that incongruity that people see. Not insanity. Just another different colour plaster.

I admired SO'C when she tore up a picture of the pope. She was standing up to the mindless patriarchy and the misogyny and the abuse.

Islam is no better than Christianity in this regard. So from my pov, not that she needs any advice from me, would be to get to a place in herself where religion has nothing to offer her.

We are all free to be wise, kind, open, brave, giving, learning, serving... but with boundaries and no labels it is safer.

@FirstTimeDogParent
Dr Phil?! The bald, American tv shrink? I don’t blame her for having a pop at him, the charlatan

Huh?
What's Dr Phil done?
Hmm

He’s basically Jeremy Kyle with a medical license.

The Prince accusations aren't new. She's spoken about them for years.
She was on Irish TV last week and sang beautifully. Got goosebumps watching it.

I've met her many times. She's really lovely and so friendly. She is vulnerable though, no doubt, but her faith brings her peace it seems.
