UK holiday - where to next?

Back from Cornwall and I've got the post-holiday blues.

So to cheer myself up, I thought I'd investigate possibilities for next year.

Any amazing places you'd recommend for a family of 4? DCs aren't little (they will both be teenagers next year Shock) and one small dog (well behaved). Self catering rather than hotel or B&B.

We like walks, sea, nice pubs, cycling, lovely views, places to visit that are dog friendly, castles & history (god, I've made myself sound about 104 but I'm middle aged now and really don't care Grin)...

Been to Cornwall (lots), Yorkshire Dales, Northumbria, Isle of Skye, and Dorset. Very happy to return or to find a new favourite....

Any gems you'd recommend?

Isle of Arran, on the west coast of Scotland - nicknamed Scotland in miniature. Stunning scenery and loads to do - water sports, hillwalking, distillery, seal watching, cycling, and loads more. Theres a castle too. Genuinely one of my favourite places in the world. Love it!

Scotland. Currently here on holiday and come every year. West coast is one of the most beautiful places going. Empty beaches, white sands and clear waters. Can’t deal with Cornwall as it’s way too crowded. Get a bit cross if there’s more than two people on the beach here. Plus you can adventure out to the islands. We have seen porpoises, whales, eagles and sea otters...so glad it’s too far for most people to come and weather puts folk off, we’ve always been exceptionally lucky though.
