Please tell me I'm not the only one awake?!

It's too hot for me to sleep, I've been in bed since 10pm tossing and turning, no duvet, changed the pillow cases twice as they're cooler when they're new ones and wandered around the house for a bit.

Making a mental list of all the things I need to do tomorrow --aside from drop dead due to lack of sleep!

-Laundry (the only good thing about this heat is that the washing dries quicker!)
-General hoover & clean.
-Trip to Lidl's & supermarket before they close early for bank holiday.
-Strip bed and change sheets.

Been awake for a while. Contemplating going for a walk to get my steps in early while it's cool or getting up to do my massive ironing pile. Might grab s coffee and contemplate for a bit longer.

I’ve been awake since 2 again. I need a wee before going back to bed but I’m too scared to put the baby down incase she wakes up.

MyOtherProfile · 27/08/2019 04:31

I'm awake. It's too hot.

StitchingMoss · 27/08/2019 04:35

Another one awake - so much to do today and really needed a good night’s sleep Sad

DrWAnker · 27/08/2019 04:37

Morning all.
Dh is snoring.
Hot child has pushed me to the edge of the bed.
My eyes are all stingy as been awake quiet a while.
I have that middle of the night brain buzz going on.
Woohoo, bring it on Tuesday 😭😭😭

Brenna24 · 27/08/2019 04:40

My turn to make the drinks. What do you want? That's assuming that the teething baby will let me put her down now that she is sleeping soundly again.

NomDeQwerty · 27/08/2019 04:41

And me.
Lots of sad things going on at the moment.
And indigestion so a went downstairs to make peppermint tea. Noticed the new lawnmower had been left out and the shed door wide open. Sorted that then popped in the downstairs loo and got scared wide awake by Aragog grinning at me from the back of the door. It's a long time since I've seen one that big. No chance of sleep now.

Morning all! DH woke DS at 4 when he got up for work (wasn’t massively noisy, just expect unfortunate timing with sleep cycles). Spent 40 mins getting him back to sleep (both boobs and a bottle of cows milk, plus some shh-ing in the cot!) and am now simultaneously exhausted and wide awake.

PotterHead1985 · 27/08/2019 05:03

My brain has also cycled onto the depressing topic that is the seeming end of a life long (34 year) friendship. And for the most frustrating, you'd expect a best friend to have your back of reasons.

NCBabyBoy · 27/08/2019 05:09

Baby is awake. No screaming, but definitely no settling down either... Getting on for an hour now...

checkedcloth · 27/08/2019 05:16

Morning. We are in a holiday cottage - I’ve hardly slept since we arrived on Friday as DH’s snoring is terrible.

It’s open plan so although I’m on the sofa with a blanket now - I can still hear him Angry

Maxineputyourredshoeson · 27/08/2019 05:30

I’m another one with insomnia and have been awake since 12.40 because I fell asleep early, at 7ish because I’m exhausted. I also have an awful earache that’s been getting worse but know I have no hope in getting into the GP today. Hopefully I can doze for another hour or so before the DC and puppy get up....

purplepandas · 27/08/2019 06:12

Coffees all round Brew. Debating an early run. On the sofa due to shitness of my marriage. I really think we are done. DH won't talk at all and I see no other way forward.
