Im looking at opening a childrens shoe shop in my local area. I will stock a variety of brands including barefoot brands.

I will stock a smaller selection of adult barefoot brands but not any other adult brands.

Dh has suggested our town name and then shoes at the end.

All suggestions greatly appreciated!

The name should let the customers know that it's a children's shoe store, IMO

So, no to your dh's suggestion Smile

Something cutesy like 'Tiny Toes' or 'Happy Feet' (not necessarily those, but along those lines)? And 'Shoes for kids/children' in the tag line too

One step beyond
Tiptoes

SilverySurfer · 15/08/2019 15:54

There used to be a shoe shop in London called R. Soles; I'm not suggesting you use that Grin

Twinkle Toes

Tigerwhocamefortea · 15/08/2019 15:55

“Bare foot forward”if you are going for bare foot brands.

fortheloveofPete · 15/08/2019 15:55

Tippy toes of...(wherever you are)

BelleCarig · 15/08/2019 15:55

What actions do kids do? Maybe something like:
Kick!
Jump!
Stomp!

How about "Barefoot or Shod" (to reference the brand stocked?) or "Well Shod"

What do they do in shoes? Go on adventures, splash in puddles etc is there anything there that could provide inspiration?

ANiceLuxury · 15/08/2019 16:00

Childrens shoe shops are very spaced out where i live.

They are called...

Pip, Squeak and Wilfred
Muddy Frogs
Paces and Laces
Goody Little New Shoes

Smith's of Chesterfield, obviously with your name and town. The big shoe shops often use a family name (Clarks, Clinkard, Jones, Pavers etc), and I think putting in your town name highlights the fact you're something special in your town and would appeal to local pride.

ANiceLuxury · 15/08/2019 16:03

It wont be just barefoot ones as the market for those is too limited so im looking at stocking..

Ricosta
Geox
Primigi
Bellamy
Ecco
Shoesme
Lelli Kelly

Barefoot brands..

Vivobarefoot
Feelmax
Bobux
Plae

Sole to Sole?
Feet first?
Footloose?

Jammiebammie · 15/08/2019 16:10

Do you want a ‘pun’ name, or something more sophisticated? Do you want shoe in the title, or a generic name that could work for any store, or even a nod to your own name, or your children’s if you have any?

Hopscotch would be nice, or Tippy Toes.

Jammiebammie · 15/08/2019 16:13

You’ll have to watch too if there are other stores with the same name, I thought Happy Little Soles was adorable but just googled and it’s already a kids shoe shop!

FindaPenny · 15/08/2019 16:14

Hop shop... Like hop scotch
Shoey McShoeface

FindaPenny · 15/08/2019 16:16

That's weird we thought of almost same idea at the same time jammieBammie

NavyBlueHue · 15/08/2019 16:16

I like Stomp! as a PP said above. With the exclamation mark in it.
