Not sure where to post this! DD has just turned8 & says she feels left out at school sometimes as her friends talk abut YouTube and Netflix & she doesn’t know what they’re talking about. To be fair, I don’t either. She has a Kindle & there’s an age limit on that content, she still likes what she calls baby stuff but I’m open to her exploring other age appropriate content but I’m not sure what to guide her towards as I don’t know there is. Her friend mentioned the Norris Nuts but that looks quite grown up to me?

Yes, you can set it up so she can have her own profile and set it just so there is kids programming.

Honestly, it’s much better than programmes with advertising.

My dd9 watches Roblox videos and cooking videos on YouTube and likes nailed it sugar rush and cooking shows on Netflix. We aren't in the U.K. so don't get the same variety of shows that you get so am glad I'm not subjected to Sam and cat! She did watch Malibu rescue and project mc2 - if she does watch tv it's KC undercover or Jessie
Ds7 watches any old shite - currently watching teen titans go. There's a new series on Netflix called Inbestigators that he's enjoyed. On YouTube he watches dantdm, Lachlan and Ali-A playing fortnite. I've banned Sis vs Bro as they are very brattish.
We do watch a lot of tv as it's currently 50 degrees outside so we can't go out much 😉

On you tube my dd watches Cookie Swirl V and Ellie V Toys amongst others. Also a lot of pop videos, particularly the Hashak Sisters and Jojo Siwa.

On Netflix she mainly watches She-Ra (which I really like too) and Captain Underpants.

Ronald & his sister, DanTDM, Pat & Jen, basically other people playing ROBLOX and if he's not watching others playing it, then he is playing ROBLOX himself. He says some friends play fort nite but he's too young. I find the kids that are allowed to play fort nite at age 8 are extremely cheeky and little respect for adults or their peers IMHO. That's been my experience. Maybe there are some exceptions to this rule somewhere but I haven't seen it.
