In a different time zone. Trying to talk myself out of going for some laps of the pool because I'm scared other people will be there and if they're hogging the pool it'll be enough to stop me exercising.

PoppingOneOutIn2020 · 09/08/2019 04:04

Big thunder and lightening storm.

Weirdly I like to watch but it freaks me out.

strongswans · 09/08/2019 04:14

@flapjackfairy I hope you don't need the ambulance tonight, will be thinking of you and your boy. My 13 yr old DS has nocturnal epilepsy, diagnosed at 15 months, but luckily well controlled. Seeing your child like that is heartbreaking. Take care of you too.

Tonight for me Ddog woke me up so she could go out for a wee. Rather that than her go indoors but I think she's getting in to a habit as it's the same time each night. I rarely sleep though thanks to her, DS with additional needs and severe IBS.

Feeding 6 week old

flapjackfairy · 09/08/2019 04:24

@strongswan
Thanks ! He is finally asleep. Wasn't expecting it to work because last nights didn't have any impact at all. His seizures are all over the place at present and as you say it is horrible to watch and feel so helpless. We have just had a 5 day EEG two weeks ago so hopefully that might help to find out what's going on atm.
So glad your sons seizures are controlled. My son has mostly nocturnal seizures as well.

runninginheelsisnotfun · 09/08/2019 04:25

3 week old DS cluster feeding.

I hope you all get some sleep soon and anything keeping you awake through worry or ill heath has settled by the morning x

avacadooo · 09/08/2019 04:26

39 weeks pregnant and just scrubbed every area of the house that I could do without waking dh.
I'm so wired but I miss sleeping at night like a normal human.
I've also somehow managed to paint my toes too...

Fillipe · 09/08/2019 04:29

Got to love these stories, as fake as can be Even in the middle of the night you get someone trying to cause trouble! Only on MN Grin

Pinkkahori · 09/08/2019 04:33

We had a big thunderstorm a couple of hours ago that woke me up. Instead of trying to get back to sleep I made the mistake of reading but got too into it and ended up finishing the book. And now I am still wide awake.

ImOffTheRadar · 09/08/2019 04:33

The rain has woken me up. Now thinking about an interview I've got next week for a job that I really want.

PulyaSochsup · 09/08/2019 04:34

Miserable tonight as dh is being unhelpful despite me having long term painful conditions. As soon as I show any irritation with his lack of support with the children or bare minimum of housework then I am the world’s worst wife and he starts being competitively kind to the children. He knows what he’s doing and if I didn’t have to be here then I wouldn’t.
Hope everyone finds some peace tonight.

MsInconspicuous · 09/08/2019 04:42

Restless legs. 11 weeks pregnant and been suffering just as long. Trying to survive on a few hours sleep although no work tomorrow so given up trying and made a cuppa!

StrongTea · 09/08/2019 04:43

Hip replacement surgery on Monday, got out of hospital yesterday. Bit sore. Spare room bed not as comfy so looking at mattress toppers. Really heavy rain as well.

Bigbopboo · 09/08/2019 04:45

Sorry to hear that many of you are going through difficult times.
I have possibly the most random reason for waking up. My hairdryer , plugged in but not turned on started making a strange noise. It woke both of us. Leapt our of bed to unplug it and now lying awake thanking god that this happened when I was here

Chickoletta · 09/08/2019 04:49

Went out for a curry earlier and woke up at 3.30 having had a nightmare that I was caught driving home drunk (DH actually drove!). Very thirsty and can't get back to sleep. Also really annoyed at how overpriced the restaurant was (friend's choice).

NeverMindTheBuzzards · 09/08/2019 04:49

18 day old DS is miserable, and between him and 26mo DS in bed with me, I don't think I'm getting much more sleep tonight even when (if) DS2 settles
