Can’t sleep, anyone else awake?

actionpacked · 06/08/2019 03:44

Suffering with mild anxiety lately hence the not sleeping. Seems to come and go and can last anything between a few nights and a few weeks/months. Feeling quite mild at the moment but from previous experience it can either creep up or hit me like a bolt.

So, enough of my pity party, anyone else awake who would like a chat? About absolutely anything! What did you have for dinner? What’s your job? Bought anything new lately - do you rate it or hate it? Funny stories? Dating disasters? Think I’ve exhausted all threads in classics/chat/aibu but need to keep my mind on something other than how anxious I’m feeling because that just makes me worse Blush

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles op! Are you receiving the help you need? I really hope so! Like a previous poster I'm suffering with recent grief from a death mainly due to anxiety (IYSWIM). I BEG you to get the help you need to get back to being the awesome YOU!!
I am also awake with a newborn that will only poop in a clean nappy. Sigh

Once had Roquefort ice-cream in Girona. Many years ago. Not faddish just normal ice cream place. Unbelievable - salty sweet tangy rich etc etc. Now firm fan of eg Parmesan etc. Not faddish just good but you’ve gotta be someone who likes salt/sweet. Also love a good vanilla and coffee. Best is good vanilla with own strong black coffee poured on/stirred in. Mmmm

@ Lisette1940 this is very true. Have you tried to cutvthem either dide of the stoethen slide them downthe side of a glasd withthe flesh on the inside. Peels it in one go. Its the best trick ever!

I'm awake as DH gets up for work early and woke me up crashing around. I've emptied the dishwasher and brought a cup of tea back to bed.

Good luck @Walnutwhipster - what a sad day for you.

Never ever seen a cheese ice cream and I do venture into most ice cream shops I pass!! I probably would choose it. I like the vanilla with huge black cherries poured on top (amarena). Hazelnut is good too. It's so hard to decide. I have enormous dilemmas when there are about 50 flavours. We've an ice cream parlour near to our house in Spain woth 50 or 60 flavours. It's a real tourustcattraction. I might have two icecreams a day if i cant choose! Ive even sat in on a cold( by spanish standards) wet windy day and eaten it. Devotion!!😂

I'm up. Dd has been off since last Wednesday so lots of sleepless nights. Woke up with a coughing fit at 4 so we have ventured downstairs where she is now sleeping soundly and I'm watching Katie Price. Vinne and Pauly next then celebs go dating at which point dp will probs get up.

Feeling pretty good today, have an answer as to why I might be loosing so much hair. Ferritin down to 22. Probs been worse over the recent months since dd was born so hopefully that will be sorted too. Also been offered a contraception pill which sounds doable and I'm very excited about as I've done 7months without and am absolutely petrified of falling pregnant again.

So sorry to everyone on here with recent losses and very sad at how many are suffering with anxiety Flowers I definitely have a touch since dd was born but dp is and has been on a long road to recovery from debilitating anxiety so you certainly have my sympathies and please know it can get better. Dp is very nearly there!

I’m awake again, am yet to sleep Sad

I’ve got to get this under control sooner rather than later. I have sleeping tablets I was given last year, I’m not keen on the thought of taking them but I think tomorrow night I’ll have to.

Hope everyone from the other night is fast asleep right now!

Not me Sad
I am being kept awake by a sodding mouse. I have delicious snicker-baited traps and electric boxes but Jerry is too damned smart for such a ruse.
Insomnia's a bitch!

plugsock · 08/08/2019 03:33

Hi! I'm awake. So tired but now can't sleep.

IrisMarch · 08/08/2019 03:36

Sympathy to OP and others with worries and sad things🦋

Woken by sleepwalking child now can't drop off again because my foot hurts. What is wrong with it? Should I ask MN?

Thinking of tea and ice cream now, both very lovely and desirable.

Ow.

IrisMarch · 08/08/2019 03:40

Just remembered this my sleep button basically confuses brain till it stops worrying and drops off.

Must plug in tablet and switch it on

SimonJT · 08/08/2019 03:49

I’m awake too, I never sleep well but it’s worse as I’m on holiday, even a double dose of melatonin isn’t working tonight.

fairydustandpixies · 08/08/2019 03:54

Happy Thursday!

Meh!

Flipping 4am again...!

I want to sleeeeeeeeeep...!

Is it just me but when it gets to about 6.30am and time to get up, you suddenly can't keep your eyes open and could sleep for hours??!

More meh!

throughthelookinglass · 08/08/2019 04:25

I’m awake. Painful ear infection.

sashh · 08/08/2019 04:31

Morning all, the cafe is open for orders, anyone for a macchiato?

Oh and I have an ear infection too.

throughthelookinglass · 08/08/2019 04:43

Bloody miserable isn’t it?

HeronLanyon · 08/08/2019 05:11

action sorry you're
Not sleeping again.
I woke at 430 which these days feels like a lie in !
Good luck if you do take a sleeping tab (i never have as I share your reluctance) but they can be helpfUl with care I think.

TheAgeofAnxiety · 27/08/2019 04:28

Good morning everyone. Awake with anxiety. Yesterday I have given up the idea of giving up my meds after 3 months sloooowly going down. Hope the standard dose will kick in soon. I have enough to get me to the next GP review and I hope he will understand that if I'm fine on my pills it doesn't mean I'm fine without.
