We have lived here for 6 years and haven't got around to looking in the loft space above my sons' room. I have for no particular reason always been convinced that it is a bit creepy. Yesterday DH looked in, said it was empty and took a photo to show me.

I didn't look at the photo until today.

We're going to be murdered by this grinning ghost head aren't we?? 😬 😭

I can see Pink Oboe’s skull but also Little Boy Blue having a rest in the hayloft, obvs. He’s even wearing a country bumpkin hat.

It’s like lying back and looking at clouds, the human brain tries to make sense of the shapes. We are built to try and see faces. The insulation even reminds me of a 3D baby scan so I’m surprised we aren’t all seeing babies everywhere.

No ghosties, OP, just bog standard psychology and a bit of fun!

I see a cat too. If it is the ghost of a cat it wouldn't worry me, the worst it'll do is rub against your legs & purr. I love cats & wouldn't mind having a ghost one. Does away with the need for a cat flap.

No major history, but it's a Georgian terrace, was slum housing, the area was heavily bombed in WWII, houses repaired in the 70s.

I’m howling. Although that pic where you can see multiple faces in the cloud is bloody creepy!

I honestly despair of humans sometimes. Of all those who are going “oooh I’m scared” and “it’s an orb!” and other such replies that suggest they believe this shit, the law of averages dictates that at least some of them are from people in positions of responsibility like doctors, teachers etc. That is truly scary.
