I've fucked up my bathroom. Help me fuck it up more?

So it needed repainting. I stupidly let my son choose the colour. He is SO proud of himself and loves it. It looks the the changing rooms of our local shit council swimming pool.

It's absolutely fucking awful

So. Do I add white blinds, wooden blinds to help soften it?

Or do I throw EVERYTHING into the fuckit bucket and get hot pink blinds and flamingo the fuck out of it?

I like the colour! But then I've never been a neutral colour kinda gal. Though I do agree that the tiles and the walls don't compliment each other particularly well. But it's not offensive to the eyes

Think morrocan or Portuguese - white loo seat and leave me green towels with mosaic accessories ...trust me it works!! And no white loo seats don't look cheap!

This reminds me of the time that my mum decorated our bathroom. She painted all the walls peach- not the end of the world since the rest was stark white. What really sealed her place in the interior design hall of game was the stroke of genius that inspired her to rip up the old bathroom sponge and use it to dab peach paint ALL OVER THE CEILING. It sort of radiated out from one corner. It was MAGNIFICENT.

You should do that. Only in bright pink or gold leaf or something.

I'd have one of those fish/aquarium toilet seat(I actually do have one ).

Maybe a koi pond/sea 3D floor sticker

It actually doesn’t look too bad in the second photo - I would go with a big fat seagull next to your towels!

I like beach more than flamingo, but as you say beach might be too classy for you...

@NotYourHolidayDick there’s navy blue in your bath mat... if you want to tone it down, don’t go with white, now that’s a giraffe. Tone it down with darker hues of the colour you dislike.

The wall paint is fine. I cant get past the wooden toilet seat. I'd replace with white and get white blinds.

Flamingos, shells, palm trees, stunt pineapple, vibrant beach towels, the works.

Oh, and sunglasses. You'll need them

I like it, it's nice and beachy. Get some shell/fishy/pebbly decorations and it'll look great. Just enjoy the brightness.

Once you've got rid of the loo seat it will look much better. The pine is fighting the turquoise at the moment

Get the cheap white loo seat from Argos, you not a five I think but all plastic fitting so nice and easy to keep clean (only girl in house - why can't boys aim?)

God no. Love the colour - teal is one of my favourites. But it completely clashes with the tiles. Let him paint a different room and choose a more complementary colour, like buff or slate grey, or maybe a lighter, more minty kind of teal? Or just peak flamingo. That could definitely work.

I'd add a horizontal striped blind cream blue .

All of my toilet seats are wooden too.
I think the wood/beige works nice with teal!
