There's nothing you can do, gather belongings and leave immediately. It's the spiders home now.

Cairies · 26/07/2019 02:39

Yikes!

Topseyt · 26/07/2019 02:40

Those are the ones I really can't stand. Those ginormous ones. I send DH after them. I just can't.

You have my sympathy, but I've no advice. I'd probably run screaming down the street.

Sparkledot · 26/07/2019 02:41

Burn down the house.....once you’ve left of course

helpmeiamatoad · 26/07/2019 02:42

It’s his house now.

LiliesAndChocolate · 26/07/2019 02:51

I live in australia. Use the vacuum cleaner and then use duct tape to seal the brush.

Topseyt · 26/07/2019 02:58

I would probably use the vacuum cleaner too. I would then put said vacuum cleaner out in the shed.

dotty12345 · 26/07/2019 03:00

I’m at my daughters and the children didn’t go to sleep til silly o clock so daren’t wake anyone! What will happen if I throw a jug of water at it???

OP posts:
tinyvulture · 26/07/2019 03:05

Have you got anything you can spray it with? Or something heavy you can throw at it?

I would worry that the water would only enrage it - sorry......

dotty12345 · 26/07/2019 03:09

@tinyvulture , would have to go into my daughters room for hairspray and don’t want to wake them, ditto hitting it with something heavy. Oh god I’ll never sleep again. I can just about cope while I can see it but it’s getting restless ......

footballmum · 26/07/2019 07:33

cubed123 · 26/07/2019 07:35

Just pack up your sh*t and leave! Grin

Kalim8 · 26/07/2019 07:41

Please don't spray it or splat it, get a pint glass and some card and take it outside.

Or leave it for someone else to put it outside.

Lovestonap · 26/07/2019 07:46

Oooh that's a biggie! But please don't kill it. It's doing no harm and can't help the way it looks. Pint glass and cardboard and outside. 🕸

Wormentrude · 26/07/2019 07:48

Accept that the house belongs to the spider. Maybe go to the CAB to find out whether you have any legal rights as squatters in its house.

jackstini · 26/07/2019 08:04

Please put a warning in the title that this post includes a picture

InsertFunnyUsername · 26/07/2019 08:06

Tell your daughter she has a new Landlord and get on outta there!

BobTheFishermansWife · 26/07/2019 08:12

Catch him with glass and paper as suggested, take him into your daughters room and ask if he pays rent, if not let him out in the garden, if yes, sorry he has to stay!

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 26/07/2019 08:31

Honestly I think the council have a duty to house you under such circumstances!

timeforakinderworld · 26/07/2019 08:34

I always try and catch them and put them out but I hate those ones. It looks like it's been around the block a bit and is prepared to fight. Also not sure it would fit under a pint glass! How did you cope OP?

Downunderduchess · 26/07/2019 08:37

LTB

SlimGin · 26/07/2019 08:39

Has the spider taken OP hostage?

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 26/07/2019 08:42

LOL at glass at paper. That’d have to be a vase and cardboard from Amazon box Grin

myusernameisnotmyusername · 26/07/2019 08:45

I have a spider catcher for those now. Much easier.

Mrsemcgregor · 26/07/2019 08:54

I assume you burnt your house down?
