Tall men are big fat effing bastards

On tube this morning a 6ft wanker stood in right in front of the open window in between the carriages, blocking all the cool breeze coming in from the tunnel. He literally took up the WHOLE window. EnvyAngryNow there"s another tosspot standing in front of the window on my way home, with 2 or 3 more hovering around to take his place if he leaves. Why do they so this? Are they completely incapable of thinking of others??

I notice when women stand in front of the window they stabd to the side so as not to block the breeze.

These are the same Tall Bastards that push to the front of gigs so no one else can see. Such selfish Bastards!! AngryAngrySometimes I really hate men.

Wow such a wonderful generalisation of all tall men. Imagine if a man starts with all little short fat women 🤷🏻‍♀️

my partner is a 6ft tall bastard and is rather polite and wonderful

ALemonyPea · 25/07/2019 19:01

Heat getting to you a bit?

BillywilliamV · 25/07/2019 19:02

My tall man is quite delightful thank you!

Wavyheaded · 25/07/2019 19:05

Lemonypea: yes Blush

Mate of mine is 6’8”. He could probably fit through my cat flap, and weighs about the same as I do (5’8” and by no means obese). However I do grant you that I wouldn’t like to be sitting behind him in the theatre.

Backinthebox · 25/07/2019 19:07

I will tell 6’2” DH he is going to have to chop 6” off his legs to stop being so selfish.

Historydweeb · 25/07/2019 19:08

Love tall men me, send them my way 😂

ParmaViolet44 · 25/07/2019 19:09

They're not all tossers. My DH is 6'4" and is very considerate. When we go to any stage show or the Xmas panto each year he always makes sure he's not sitting in front of any children/short people and hunches down in his seat as far as he can!

I don't think being a twat is dependent on height sadly! The tube is not the place to look for considerate behaviour on the whole I find! Grin

escapade1234 · 25/07/2019 19:10

My DH is one of these tall bastards. Except he’s polite to a fault and would always inconvenience himself than someone else. He’s the sort of bastard who lets people into the lane of traffic when I’m shouting “We’re going to be late!”. He’s way nicer than 5’5 me.

Sparklingbrook · 25/07/2019 19:11

Tall men on the Tube and not in the 'Tall Men Carriage'. Sad

TeapotofTerror · 25/07/2019 19:12

My DH is short and he's a twat!
I'd only ever dated tall men before and I can assure you there is no correlation between height and level of twattiness.

Pogmella · 25/07/2019 19:14

Was previously married to a guy a little over 6’ and can concur some are twats about occupying shared space. Happily with my 5’6 fella now and he’s awesome!

Chune · 25/07/2019 19:14

My 6ft 4 husband seems to spend half the time stooping and crouching down to let other people ‘see’, or getting whacked in the neck by other people’s umbrellas. Deffo not a bastard.

TeapotofTerror · 25/07/2019 19:15

Sorry, I meant bastardness.

CMOTDibbler · 25/07/2019 19:15

DH is 6'3 and ds is on target to be 6'5. The tallest of my nephews is 6'8. They are all lovely

Medievalist · 25/07/2019 19:22

My dh and dcs are all well over 6'.

They're neither fat nor bastards thank you very much 😡😡😡

They do, however, have to put up with the fact that the world is designed for shorter people. So they never have enough leg room in planes, theatres etc and have to pay extra for clothes that fit them properly.

And ds1 regularly has to put up with morons pointing out that he's very very tall. Like he hadn't noticed ....

scarbados · 25/07/2019 19:26

My skinny 6'4" husband thinks you're a nasty bitch and he's not often wrong.

(His short, fat wife agrees with him on this one)

averylongtimeago · 25/07/2019 19:28

Op, are you home now? Don't take this the wrong way,but have a nice cold drink, a cool shower and something to eat. You will feel MUCH better.

Coquohvan · 25/07/2019 19:28

OP he could have been considerate and moved a little.
Possibly just an entitled man no matter what height he is.
My Dh his 6.1 and would have moved a bit. I blame the parents 🤭

Wavyheaded · 25/07/2019 20:58

I should have posted this in Feminism! Grin

I was ranting of course, the tube is horrible enough without the heat but my point still stands, it's only tall men that can do this - and they DO. (Obvs not all Hmm) They even hover near each other to take that spot when someone leaves. I've stood in front of that spot without blocking air (I'm 5ft tall) but a guy will come and try to push me out of it. This actually happened last year when it was really hot too. I stand my ground now!

It's another form of manspreading – selfish entitled behaviour.

OP posts:
NorthEndGal · 25/07/2019 21:01

I'm sorry, but really, you sound unhinged.
They didn't deliberately grow tall to take up space.

Poshishchap · 25/07/2019 21:03

Agree that is very entitled twat'ish behaviour, but not all 6" guys are nobs, some are handy to have around when needing something on top shelf in supermarkets.

Stand your ground

Wavyheaded · 25/07/2019 21:21

They didn't deliberately grow tall to take up space

It's behaviour I'm talking about...

OP posts:
SaxxedtotheMax · 25/07/2019 21:23

Stilts?

Soola · 25/07/2019 21:25

And the reason why you didn’t politely ask him to move a bit so that air could come in, was......
Mph that’s right you didn’t say anything you’d rather seethe and then come home and froth on the internet about how bad the menz are!
