Wahoo! We have a stonking thunderstorm, anyone else?

I've been waiting for this. LOADS of thunder & lightening but no rain. Anyone else?

It's all around me but not very near. The dog is freaking out. Just had to get him out of the bath.

Midlands ..... I absolutely hate. Like need to hide under the stairs kinda hate it.

We have had about an hour of sheet lightening in Bedfordshire. Stunning. Then turned into a short full blown storm with rain, bolts of lightening and bangs of thunder. Still rumbling and starting to rain again.

Gizzit. Send across the sea please.

Crazy storm in Gloucestershire. Been going on for nearly two hours.

I'm on the Liverpool/Knowsley border and it's still going strong here after around 45 minutes, raining madly and I've got clothes on the line

Love a good thunderstorm. Especially when I'm in the house nice and safe.

Also East Midlands here, I'm scared to shut my windows!

So much lightning! I can't believe DS and DH managed to sleep through the thunder, it was nuts! Love a good thunderstorm.

Manchester here and it’s still going, pouring down and the thunders non stop, hope my mum is sleeping through it, scares her
Makes me think of all the homeless outside, hope they have some shelter

It's on the go here in the East Midlands. Most lightening I've ever seen! It's raining very hard though. My plants will love this!

Now in north Essex. Loads of lightning, mostly grumbly thunder and a little rain.

Apparently it’s a thing - dogs in baths and bathrooms during thunderstorms. Been Googling as my poor old dog is also upset.

We still have flashes and rain and thunder - eased off and has restarted agai it seems.

Northwest. Had to run into the garden about 30 mins ago and bring the washing in ( I know, darked on etc)! Woken up by the flashes and thunder thankfully before the rain. It's now pouring it down and DS has joined me in bed. The thunder and lightening is very noisy but hopefully it'll cool down now

Gloucestershire have got it good! Been going on for about 2 hours now, lots of flashes and rumbles! Haven't heard any huge bangs .. well if they have I've slept through it!

Finished over this part of Birmingham.now. Woke up dd2. No cooler fresher though.

Great thunderstorm...but my DH has a flight from Manchester to Scotland at 7am.... I'm a bit nervous. - will be happier when I know he's landed safely!

Im in Staffs and the storm has just finished. Some of the most spectacular lightning Ive ever seen. Hardly any thunder though.

Yes Nottingham here and massive storm and torrential rain. There will be flooding no doubt for some poor souls !

It woke me up about 30 mins ago, torrential rain very loud thunder almost constantly lightning at one point.
it's passing over now although there is still the occasional flash of lightning and rumble.

S/W Yorks here. Just awesome, in all senses.
