I have a few favourites.

I have only one, that fits in the cup holder in the car, that's my favourite one for the morning.

I have another favourite one because it was bought by my children.

And I have one more, favourite one, because it always cheers me up when I use it.

I have four pale aqua earthenware mugs that I love for weekday mornings. The colour cheers me up.

For weekends I use a big white mug with a gorgeous, detailed drawing of a rooster in black. I got it in my local Dollar Store and really regret not buying two. They were all gone when I went back to remedy my mistake.

@Butternutsqoosh exactly what you said about the feel on your mouth.

China mugs are a far more civilized vessel for drinking coffee 😁 And the waitrose ones can carry quite a decent sized amount of coffee and fit beautifully into my cup holder in my car...

I bought a “hello handsome” mug as a jokey present for DP ages ago and for some reason it’s become my favourite mug.

@TinklyLittleLaugh Grin we have some le cruset mugs too but I find them too heavy and thick if my husband makes me tea in one of them it DOES NOT taste the same as it does in my beauty and the beast mug lol! He loves the le cruset mugs though and his favourite is the blue/green and his back up is the orange.... perhaps you two should share a set!

@Butternutsqoosh my mum and dad have lots of those delicate Waitrose V and A mugs, and tea does taste good in those. I have two Waitrose China mugs, one which is flowery and says ‘mummy’ on it, and another one which is black and white with a gold star on it. They are the perfect size for a large cup of tea and it stays lovely and hot. DH has a mug with Snowdon on it, which is his absolute fave.

fifipop185 · 23/07/2019 10:53

I don't but DH does, well he did until I cracked it last week. Blush

He said he wasn't bothered but I caught him trying to fix it with hot glue.

Of course you have to have a fave...

At home we have a set of 6 Le Creuset that match, which are the perfect all rounders, we have back-up in the loft in case of any breakages. DP has Autism and he finds it soothing to have everything matching and in even numbers.

At work I have adopted a Cath Kidston 'Grandad' mug with vintage planes on as it is the perfect big brew mug. Narrow lip, big handle for my sausage fingers, and holds loads. I am neither Grandad nor plane enthusiast!

I have several. My tea mug is bone china, and just the right size shape to make perfect tea. I have a big stoneware bucket mug that I love for coffee. My ancient pyrex mug is the best for green tea or herbal tea. Those 3 mugs are mine, and nobody else uses them.

Oh yes, I have a favourite mug Grin
