Just caught a false widow spider
OP posts:
Oldraver · 21/07/2019 13:40

Just put it outside on a bush or something

TreacherousPissFlap · 21/07/2019 13:41

Calm the freaking out down and do what oldraver suggests

PorterBella · 21/07/2019 13:43

Put it in a bottle with the lid taped up with 10 miles
of sellotape then drive it to a forest somewhere.
Russia is nice this time of year.

OhMsBeliever · 21/07/2019 13:43

Put it outside. I've got loads in my house. I leave them alone. Spiders only get evicted if they get to close to my bed or the sofa.

Teaandcrisps · 21/07/2019 13:44

It might bite me

OP posts:
Teaandcrisps · 21/07/2019 13:44

Or come back in

OP posts:
Wellmet · 21/07/2019 13:45

We get loads of those here. Only find them to be a problem if they get into the bedrooms!

Teaandcrisps · 21/07/2019 13:45

You've got loads of false widow spiders in your house?

elvislives2012 · 21/07/2019 13:45

Just stick a bit of card underneath it and chuck it outside.

HoofWankingSpangleCunt · 21/07/2019 13:48

eek

I'm an animal loving vegetarian but I would be sorely tempted to speedily despatch the hairy fucker. Sorry, not sorry.

What did you do in the end, Op?

Teaandcrisps · 21/07/2019 13:51

Hoof - I'm frozen just standing in the corner of the hall repeating fuckety fuck fuck. I dont know.what to do with it. If I stick it in the bush outside it might come back in

OP posts:
Cutantrim · 21/07/2019 13:52

Fire and hammers. Then sell house.

WTFthatsweird · 21/07/2019 13:52

Drama Hmm

It's a really common and shy spider.

Leave the poor thing alone and stop reading all the scare mongering daily mail articles.

Teaandcrisps · 21/07/2019 13:52

And they bite.

OP posts:
Teaandcrisps · 21/07/2019 13:53

I'm going to put it in a Tupperware box

OP posts:
OhFuckingLisaMorgan · 21/07/2019 13:54

Scrap it into the hard floor and apply shoe!

Teaandcrisps · 21/07/2019 13:58

OP posts:
thecatneuterer · 21/07/2019 14:11

Just let the poor thing go outside and calm down.

Deathraystare · 21/07/2019 14:12

I've got loads in my house

Well there you go , Tea and Crisps - What's one more to Ohmsbeliever!!! Take it round!

Knittedjimmychoos · 21/07/2019 14:12

I have seen so many people in rl left with nasty bites needing iv antibiotics form false widow, a non native spider I would kill. Kill. Kill. It.

No questions!

Knittedjimmychoos · 21/07/2019 14:14

Why would anyone facilitate them breeding and take it to Woods! Where child climbing tree or something could get bitten it's a no brainer kill the bloody thing.

WorraLiberty · 21/07/2019 14:15

'Spine chillers'?

They're just spiders.

The bloody tabloids have an awful lot to answer for with all the ridiculous headlines about false widows in the past.

thecatneuterer · 21/07/2019 14:15

I've been googling. Apparently they only bite if provoked or trapped against skin and their bite is no worse than a wasp sting. So basically a lot of hysteria over very little.

Bunbunbunny · 21/07/2019 14:16

Is that really a false widow? Didn't realise they had red legs
