Houmous, coleslaw, leafy salad and possibly some other carb, be it bread or a quiche. Depends on your family and what they like to eat though. If there are children I would stick a pizza with it.

Something warm, e.g. samosas, spring rolls etc?

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 20/07/2019 07:52

Quiche

Paultrybudget · 20/07/2019 07:57

Couple of pizzas?
Potato salad?
Ham?

LizzieSiddal · 20/07/2019 07:58

I think something veggie- not all vegetarians like cheese, so something like a veggie quiche.

Bluntness100 · 20/07/2019 07:58

Oh I'd definitely do a salad at least with that.

senua · 20/07/2019 07:59

You haven't mentioned which drinks you are serving ...

It's all quite nibbly. Is there something for men people to get their teeth into?

AnnieOH1 · 20/07/2019 08:00

I would be tempted to add a beef joint or chicken (something that's not cured and can double as a centre piece).

I'd add salad leaves, fruit like grapes/melon/pineapple/fresh berries, crusty bread with a bowl of salted butter, olive selection, and some sort of quiche or a vegetarian pie. Assuming you know no-one is veggie or vegan I'd say your current selection would be okay though, but if you don't know for definite then I would try and make sure there were vegan options available. :)

pumpkinpie01 · 20/07/2019 08:10

Warm bread rolls , quiche, salad

DonPablo · 20/07/2019 08:15

Something salady? Tabbouleh is dead easy. Bulghar wheat choooes red spring onion diced cucumber and chopped mint. Seasoned with salt and pepper?

DonPablo · 20/07/2019 08:16

Chopped even!

Elllicam · 20/07/2019 08:19

I definitely think more carbs, something like tiger bread and butter/cream cheese, salad, pasta, quiche.

itsabongthing · 20/07/2019 08:21

Green/leafy salad is missing for me

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 20/07/2019 09:25

Where's the cheese and pineapple on sticks?! No buffer is complete without them!

FossiPajuZeka · 20/07/2019 09:30

Potato wedges
Baby plum tomatoes
Something eggy - either a quiche or a Spanish tortilla.

PurpleDaisies · 20/07/2019 09:34

Instead of garlic bread, I’d but a load of different rolls and maybe a french stick (from Lidl) so people can make sandwiches. It sounds lovely but not like an actual meal.

Also salad.

FamilyOfAliens · 20/07/2019 09:36

It depends on your guests - do you have any vegetarians / vegans / coeliacs coming?

FamilyOfAliens · 20/07/2019 09:37

Do you definitely need breadsticks, crackers AND garlic bread?
