Hunks of bread. Mini sausages. Mini stuffed peppers? Stuff them with cous cous or feta cheese? What is the age of the youngest guest? Is there something they’d eat?

Westfacing · 20/07/2019 09:40

The OP has said it's a small family lunch so presumably she's taken dietary needs into account.

ContactLight · 20/07/2019 09:42

Sausage rolls, coleslaw, warm new potatoes or potato salad, green salad leaves, and I'd go for ordinary french stick rather than garlic bread at lunchtime.

I’m sure the OP can confirm that.

To me it seems a very bread-heavy lunch but it would certainly fill people up if they’re coming a long way.

Jersey royal potatoes, pizza, quiche, beetroot, salad.

Chilledout11 · 20/07/2019 09:46

Quiche would be lovely
Cocktail sausages
Sandwiches

TheChineseChicken · 20/07/2019 09:49

It feels like quite a lot of side bits / nibbles so I agree something more substantial like quiche would be good. It needs a central focus IYKWIM

ClashCityRocker · 20/07/2019 10:17

Agree, it needs a focus...

I'd probably add a ham or a quiche, and some salad and 'slaw.

And maybe some crusty rolls - possibly instead of the garlic bread.

Medievalist · 20/07/2019 10:25

It's all quite nibbly. Is there something for men people to get their teeth into?

^^ This.

There's not much of substance. But maybe they're all pickers?
