We were talking about careers advice at work today and I remembered jiig-cal. It must’ve been the early 90s when I used it at school.

My jig-call results suggested I should be a window dresser or an archaeologist. Sadly I am neither 😂

Mine was a model or admin. I’ve been a teacher for 28 years now... God knows how a model came up 😂

Found it in a folder with all my swimming/ballet/music certificates Grin

Cecilandsnail · 20/07/2019 00:47

I had brewer/working in a brewery 😂

Cecilandsnail · 20/07/2019 00:48

We had this in Wales too

HeyHeyMckenzie · 20/07/2019 02:08

I got actress, tv presenter or journalist as I recall...

Sadly I have never trod the boards professionally, been in front of the camera for telly or written for a living! Loved it though, such an exciting process!

I got forester or archaeologist. I did a degree in archaeology but have never worked as one.
I have a tiny wood at the end of my house 😂. Use a tree surgeon though.

Polar bear is from a quiz called Buzz. It's based on Myers-Briggs.

It makes me happy to see more of you had the jig-cal experience and amazing to see the actual print out!

Perhaps I’ve got too Marie Kondo lately. Even the table tennis trophies are gone 😅

I got dog groomer.

Before dog groomer was a thing...

I got the options of librarian or teacher. I devise and deliver training as part of my job, and I'm a published author, so not far off.

EllenEyewater · 20/07/2019 23:39

I got fish farmer (hate the scaly little fuckers), Royal Navy officer (get seasick on lakes) and technology teacher (banned from using at least half the machines as so bad at the subject)

Not a great surprise I now just work in an office. Probably best for all concerned!

Lemonsole · 21/07/2019 13:51

I did it in 1986 or 87. I was given: nursery teacher, primary teacher, history teacher, languages teacher, English teacher, prison governor. And interpreter or tv presenter.

It was totally wrong, as I was never going to be a teacher.

I am a teacher.

CatalogueUniverse · 21/07/2019 13:56

Oooh I got naval architect or archivist.

I work in IT which I doubt was in there when I did it. Systems architecture and administration has a lot of common skills though.
