My husband ate a sweet he found in our daughter's car. He feels extremely disorientated and unwell now. It m ay not be linked at all, but we have suddenly thought could the sweet have actually been a drug? Totally shocked, praying it isn't. Does anyone recognise these? Thanks so much.

A quick Google says mdma often smells like aniseed but tastes incredibly bitter.

I used to see people who did drugs every few days roll around on the floor cos the taste of MDMA was disgusting and burnt their throat so much!

it's not MDMA. There's no way he'd eat MDMA and think - mmm, just like my fave penny sweet Blackjacks.

I've never known anyone to eat crack, don't really think it's a done thing. But coke isn't a nice taste at all, and crack is just coke cooked up, so I'm doubting it's that.

I’m pretty sure he’s in the clear,if it was any illegal drug at all,especially MDMA or crack he would have spat it straight back out as they all taste absolutely vile!

If she was taking crack or mdma I am sure she would have left overs in the car for another time .... just call her and ask what it is as father seems I’ll on it ... could be an allergy ?

And it does look like mdma, but it would taste so vile if you started to chew on it that you would soon know it wasn't a sweet.

MDMA tastes like absolute shit he would've known if he's swallowed that. Unless he has a particularly strong gag reflex/stomach

If your husband is now experiencing a profound sensation of inner peace, warmth, comfort and empathy and wants you to stroke his hair while he chain smokes menthols and tells you how much he loves you then it’s almost definitely MDMA.

Being serious though, if he actually feels unwell and not just a giddy from all the excitement and drama of eating footwell sweets, then you probably ought to take him to hospital.
