My husband ate a sweet he found in our daughter's car. He feels extremely disorientated and unwell now. It m ay not be linked at all, but we have suddenly thought could the sweet have actually been a drug? Totally shocked, praying it isn't. Does anyone recognise these? Thanks so much.

@Grandcentralstation thank you 😁

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 19/07/2019 07:38

This reminds me of the fat ball thread.

Fibbke · 19/07/2019 07:42

I've never seen a thread pull together the cake decorators and the crackheads before
🤣🤣

LiveandBreathe · 19/07/2019 07:48

I think this thread raises an important point. Not everyone understands CBD is not active cannabis. To call them weed sweets is totally misleading. I assume CBD is safe to take while driving but I haven't looked into it. CBD was bought into the market for medicinal purposes but now its trendy.

Strawberrycreamsundae · 19/07/2019 07:49

I'm wondering if the DD's heartily sick of her DF pinching her sweets so she's substituted something to teach him a lesson 😄 no I didn't make chocolate Krispy cakes with ExLax chocolate 😁

WTFthatsweird · 19/07/2019 07:51

Why is he picking up random crap and putting it in his mouth?!
Is he 3?!

PeaceandTranquility · 19/07/2019 07:51

Definitely this stuff.

Edibles can have a weird taste so I can see why he didn't know what they were.
Look on the bright side.
At least it wasn't massive lumps of crack Grin

WTFthatsweird · 19/07/2019 07:59

Where does one get these edibles?
Asking for a friend...

PeaceandTranquility · 19/07/2019 08:05

Let's hope the daughter doesn't bring her ole pa some sweeties from the continent.

LovelyCocksReg · 19/07/2019 08:10

Might it pair well with Waitrose lemon and coriander hummus OP?

BarryBarryTaylor · 19/07/2019 08:15

There are CBD shops popping up everywhere near me, they even sell CBD sweets in Holland & Barrett’s and organic whole food type shops.
I don’t know much about them myself except for the fact that CBD isn’t illegal and is the non addictive part of cannabis (although I am aware lots of people feel cannabis isn’t addictive at all) my knowledge is very limited on that front...

Booboo66 · 19/07/2019 08:18

I'd imagine they are legal cbd sweets rather than crystalline hash, especially looking at the price of the latter😆. Either way serves dh right, I'm always telling my 9 year old not to put things in her mouth and not to pick things up if she doesn't know what it is

AbsoluteFannyOfAWoman · 19/07/2019 08:28

Name changed in honour of this thread.😂😂

LikeDolphinsCanSwin · 19/07/2019 08:37

A&E don’t do anything for weed in any circumstances, there’s no need. It wouldn’t get past triage, so the timeline is entirely reasonable.

WifeNumber2Please · 19/07/2019 08:43

just popped in to say that actually, MDMA tastes delicious.

OP, i think your husband has experienced what’s known in the trade as a Face Melter. he’s done well though; a lesser man might have whitied, puked and spent the night sweating and shaking like a shitting dog.

bravo, OP’s DH.

CollaterlyS1sters · 19/07/2019 08:47

Hmm
ainslieb · 19/07/2019 08:49

This thread is bringing back awful memories of bombing mdma in rizlas or dumped into Diet Coke EnvyGrin YIKES

pictish · 19/07/2019 08:49

Wifenumbertwo Grin You’re funny.

But being serious for a mo...hope he’s ok and over his ‘hit’. Perhaps some ambient trance in the background will soothe.

NannaNoodleman · 19/07/2019 08:53

We live in an area with a quiet A&E and you get triaged in about 2 minutes... it's also an area full of people I imagine keep boiled sweets in their cars.

Bluntness100 · 19/07/2019 08:54

This must be the weirdest thread ever.

Op they taste like aniseed.
Posters. Must be ginger or pineapple then,

😂😂😂😂

And who asks mumsnet rather than ask their own child.

taylorowmu · 19/07/2019 08:58

Why do people have to be suck nit-picking arse holes! My DS broke his wrist last week. We were triaged,x-rayed, plastered and out in 50 minutes!! Does that mean I’m lying? No! It actually happened.

Not quite the same thing though is it? Now I don't want to 'nit-pick' bit there is an obvious difference in your DS presentation at A&E and that of the OPDH, so therefore a different course of action required.

TheQueenSnortsAvocados · 19/07/2019 08:59

Am now going back to re-read entire thread from perspective of Martin and Jackie Goodman.

M: ooh, I feel a bit funny.
J: Martin! I've told you not to eat out of the glove box.
M: Jackie, I can't feel my shitting face!
J: oh my god, oh my god! Boys! Call an ambulance. Call the police!

ThatCurlyGirl · 19/07/2019 08:59

@TheQueenSnortsAvocados

I think I love you 😂😂😂

BenWillbondsPants · 19/07/2019 09:04

That's incredible. He was sleeping at 9pm and by 11:40pm you were home and able to update Mumsnet.

I was triaged, seen by a doctor and on a ward within the hour last night (still fucking here 🙄), so it can happen.

I am militantly anti drugs so I'd probably be pissed off if my 18 year old had edibles. I know that's not cool of me but it's just how I'd feel. I know it's probably daft to most posters.

I'd also probably eat a sweet I found in DSs car, but only one that I recognised! GrinGrin

I'm glad your DH is ok OP and not thrashing about the bedroom waving his glo sticks around. I'm sure it all seems less worrying this morning.
