My husband ate a sweet he found in our daughter's car. He feels extremely disorientated and unwell now. It m ay not be linked at all, but we have suddenly thought could the sweet have actually been a drug? Totally shocked, praying it isn't. Does anyone recognise these? Thanks so much.

FWIW, my parents would happily eat sweets from my car, we always have bags of sweets in the car for “emergencies”

And to all the posters laughing it off that an 18 year old has “just” weed sweets- yes, I’d be hitting the roof too if my child (and yes they’re still my child even if they’re 18) had illegal items in her possession

I was beginning to think it was just me. Still not quite sure what the final verdict on the substance was but 💯 I would be concerned and very upset if my 18 year old had drugs of any kind lying around her car.

Slightly different to eating something you dont know what it is and its probably a weed sweet and the patient is I'll.

You would be seen by a doctor and kept for a few hours, just incase.

Your son was seen diagnosed and treated.

Also if they are CBD sweets they aren't illegal and they won't make you high.

I had to laugh at the op's dh finding something unidentified and putting it in his mouth-I have one like that
However if he was feeling dizzy and unwell I would definitely have headed to a&e to check him over rather than getting on Mumsnet-that coupled with the reluctance to phone her daughter to find out what the "sweets" were are just so bizarre to me.
Alls well that ends well and hopefully you dh will be more careful about putting things in his mouth from now on!

Weed sweets (yummy type like in the articles being linked) are very different to what OP has. .

If that's a form of weed, its crystalline. Which is very different to CBD sweets/gummys and has extremely different effects when eaten.

Oh and theres a huge difference between kids eating them and an adult eating one.

If they are weed sweets, they are probably ‘legal’ ones and will do the grand total of fuck all.

Unless she got them from somewhere where they are properly legal like Canada or California. In which case you get absolutely fucking floored by one sweet unless you are a habitual user and there is no mistaking what the fuck is happening to you and actually I need to go and lie down now thank you see you in the morning when this has worn off
