It’s very test match cricket isn’t it? And the crowd doesn’t seem too lively yet.

Hopefully we’ll get some sun when we come into bat. DH says NZ made a mistake opting to bat first Grin

They’ve played a very slow and steady game. Good on them, have to say NZ lads are a fantastic bunch. Love Kane Williamson.

I think England did ok to contain them. 240 should be doable but we need to make sure we don't lose any early wickets. Needs a bit more excitement tbh. Hopefully the crowd get going a bit now.

We are definitely favourites at this stage, but Trent Boult is an outstanding new-ball bowler. We need to see him off without losing wickets.

Just got in from watching DS in under 11s cricket in time to watch us bat. DS says we will win it easy, I've watched too much England cricket to be so confident.

clash Roy was nearly out 1st ball lbw, umpire said it was not out but then New Zealand reviewed it. Very tense few minutes.

Yep, although my 7 month old is doing her best to distract us!! Fortunately my DM isn't interested so me, DH and DF are watching it and DM is reading, playing with the baby and taking the baby for a walk when she won't nap!
