I've started to watch Suits and I'm addicted!

I'm at the end of season 3, please no spoilers!

I love Donna and want either to be her or have her be my best friend ever.

Scottie walks a fine line between skeletal with too much surgery and gorgeous.

I'm also now hankering after a glass walled office in which I can waft about in gloriously inappropriate officewear doing very little making megabucks and being a Shit Hot Goddamn Lawyer.

I used to like Donna but now she really annoys me.

Also the episodes with the English lawyers, the cats and "the Donna" are the worse ones

It's not the same since mike and Rachel left - don't like Samantha and the other guy was much better in the west wing. Here he is just wooden

Louis is the best character by far

Harvey is HOT and wasted on Donna

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 07/07/2019 15:57

Due out bad parenting we let DS1 aged 13 watch it. He has planned out his whole career on the back of it (having spoken to some actual UK based lawyers, but Suits was the catalyst and he came back from a careers fayre completely convinced.

I watch for the clothes and Harvey.

LittleAndOften · 07/07/2019 16:23

I find the clothes hilarious. The women are always dressed as if they're off to a glamorous event, complete with 7 inch stilletos, plunging necklines and no room to breathe let alone eat 😂 And Rachel has to frequently get semi-nude while Mike stays fully clothed.

One of the women (I can't remember who, maybe Rachel) was pulling an all-nighter in a pencil skirt and blouse with corset detailing and 3/4 length sleeves that looked tight (considering how slim Meghan Markle is!!). As if!

TheJellyBabyMadeMeDoIt · 07/07/2019 20:02

Oh and they always know exactly when their oppo will be buying a bagel/coffee/in a restaurant so they can intercept them and warn them to "take the offer, goddammit" even though they've been explicitly told they absolutely can not have any interaction with the opposing counsel outside of court.

Every damn time 😂

Firefly111 · 07/07/2019 20:07

I love it too!!! Been binge watching it while on mat leave!! I know the last season is starting soon in the US but anyone any ideas when it’ll appear on Netflix??

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 07/07/2019 20:07

I gave it a try, but I much prefer The Good Wife.

Anyone remember The Practice?

GrouchyKiwi · 07/07/2019 20:17

Harvey is so pretty. I continue to watch it (on occasion) for him alone, though I love Donna. I was a shit hot secretary for a while and I love it when they are appreciated properly.

It is definitely to Law what Casualty is to Medicine. Grin

And I LOATHED Scottie.

StealthPolarBear · 07/07/2019 21:17

I don't get the Harvey love. He's good looking in. A quiffy fifties way but nowt special.
Now Louis... Ahhhhh
Megan markle always looked amazing in that programme. Although as a pp noted always in tight skirts and very hogh heels. Looked so damn uncomfortable

StealthPolarBear · 07/07/2019 21:19

And Jessica was so stylish
The stuff about Donna being so incredibly competent went overboard after a while and got ridiculous. I loved her replacement though (the woman who is in absolutely everything but never - to my knowledge - in a leading role). Mmmm HMMMMM woman. :o

SixteenFerreroRoches · 07/07/2019 21:24

The Good Wife was too hard for me.

I think it's Harvey's confidence. That man scores himself 11 out 10.

It started off so good for the first 3 seasons or so then it went to shit Sad

LittleAndOften · 07/07/2019 21:53

Harvey and his $1500 haircut 😂

We got fed up of the contrived 'jeopardy' every week. Like an impossible situation they always got out of by some obscure bylaw. And the way they all fucked each other over all the time. Can you imagine ever speaking to a colleague like they do?!

StealthPolarBear · 07/07/2019 21:54

And the money they all had. I know law is well paid but that was just a different world to me.

DickZillaofTheVilla · 08/07/2019 13:52

I found a lot of it wasn’t really anything to do with actual law either just digging up dirt to blackmail people with

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 08/07/2019 14:13

A lot of large, client driven business is like Suits though (obviously it is exaggerated because it is TV) from the clothes to the dressing down when you mess up.
