I've started to watch Suits and I'm addicted!

I'm at the end of season 3, please no spoilers!

I love Donna and want either to be her or have her be my best friend ever.

Scottie walks a fine line between skeletal with too much surgery and gorgeous.

I'm also now hankering after a glass walled office in which I can waft about in gloriously inappropriate officewear doing very little making megabucks and being a Shit Hot Goddamn Lawyer.

Season 9 premieres in the USA on July 17, does anyone know when the UK is getting it?

pingIspom · 06/07/2019 23:01

im sure the OP is the one responding to herself, no one in the UK would bother with suits

noodlenosefraggle · 06/07/2019 23:01

I was hooked for 3 seasons too, but then lost interest in it for some reason. I may go back to it because I did enjoy it. I was watching on Netflix

barbaramillicentr · 06/07/2019 23:02

It's fun when "get the hell out of my office" turns to "get the fuck out of my office" in the later seasons when they have more licence with swearing 😆

noodlenosefraggle · 06/07/2019 23:02

Pinglespom I didnt realise you were the Telly police.

barbaramillicentr · 06/07/2019 23:03

Should get it the day after if it's anything like last year (Netflix).

TheJellyBabyMadeMeDoIt · 07/07/2019 00:27

I got a bit bored with it after the 3rd series and stopped watching. Then I picked it up again when I was very bored one night.

I watched it when I was doing the dishes, doing my makeup or in the bath - I like that I didn't always have to fully pay attention.

TheJellyBabyMadeMeDoIt · 07/07/2019 00:28

no one in the UK would bother with Suits

What a bizarre comment.

You're allowed to think it's shit. Just like others are allowed to enjoy it.

The world won't end, I promise.

StealthPolarBear · 07/07/2019 00:30

I love it. I am glad I'm not a lawyer, I suspect knowing what the hell is going on would ruin it.
The Donna is really irritating though.

pigsinarow · 07/07/2019 00:31

I’ve watched it all but I have a question...

THE CAN OPENER???!!!!!!

Have they revealed the significance of it? Did I miss something?!

skippy67 · 07/07/2019 01:13

The can opener thing is never explained.

Graphista · 07/07/2019 01:38

Love it!

My favourite scenes/episodes are the ones with Harvey and his real life dad who my mum would be stunned to find has a grown up son Grin

Love Louis' redemption story arc too

The clothes are fabulous, it's not exactly realistic it's Fluff and fun but nothing wrong with that.

SenecaFalls · 07/07/2019 01:38

Suits is my guilty pleasure. So many of the plot lines are completely implausible, but it is very watchable. And the fashion alone is worth the price of admission.

CommeDesPoissons · 07/07/2019 01:52

One word - mudding! Grin

AngeloMysterioso · 07/07/2019 08:44

I got bored of it.

They say each other’s names all the fucking time it’s like the script writers are worried you’ll forget what each character is called.

They’re constantly handing each other folded pieces of paper or document wallets along with some dramatic line and walking off again.

Once I realised just how formulaic and repetitive the whole thing is I actually found it quite annoying!

TheJellyBabyMadeMeDoIt · 07/07/2019 14:46

I love that it follows a formula, it's part of the fun. You never have to worry because you know they will always come out on top, so it's the enjoyment of the highly realistic twists and turns to get there that have kept me watching.

Saying each others names all the time amuses me too.

When I started watching I thought it was going to be a hard-hitting glimpse inside corporate law. I was quickly put in my place and haven't looked back.

It is to law what Casualty is to medicine 😂

TheJellyBabyMadeMeDoIt · 07/07/2019 14:46

*highly Unrealistic!

MillieMoodle · 07/07/2019 14:52

I've recently discovered it too. I'm halfway through season 3 and love it. If only life in the corporate law firm I work for was the same!
Phrase bingo "whatddya need me to do?"

FinallyHere · 07/07/2019 15:21

when Jessica Pearson left.

I'm sure I read something about a Jessica spin off ...

Love the clothes, the drama and the absolute lack of boring, mundane work needing doing

Ouch, I have asked people 'what do you need me to do '.

SixteenFerreroRoches · 07/07/2019 15:31

I am crap with names so find it quite helpful Grin

Don't know what you all mean about completely unrealistic- it is to the legal profession what Grey's Anatomy is to the medical profession, no? Grin

Glad you're enjoying it. We ended season 4 and the repetitive thing got too boring. It was great up until then!

poptypingchef · 07/07/2019 15:48

SUITS PHRASE BINGO

The most used phrase is definitely ‘what are you doing here???’ Normally used to a person they see every day, in a place they would normally find them 😂😂😂

It’s cheesy, formulaic, outlandish and they are guaranteed to always find the answer so naturally we LOVE it in our house and can’t wait for the last season to start at the end of the month 🥃 🚖 🚲 👠👜 🏀 💰📑 🇺🇸
