Laziness is an unhelpful concept born out of deep suspicion of pleasurable activity

I love this ChopinIn20Minuets

Baby formula should be prescription only.

Unless there's a medical reason to formula feed then not attempting to breastfeed should be classed as neglect.

MauisHouseOnMaui · 04/07/2019 22:59

Unless there's a medical reason to formula feed then not attempting to breastfeed should be classed as neglect.

Or maybe, just maybe, the authorities should concentrate on dealing with actual neglect? Formula is not poison and it's none of your business how other people choose to feed their babies just as it's none of their business how you chose to feed yours.

AnneBoleynsHead · 04/07/2019 23:03

The use of kid/kids instead of child/children - are we all giving birth to baby goats?😂

ProfessorofPerspective · 04/07/2019 23:16

Don't get the obsession with women's football. I dont see that its a victory for feminism.

Why aren't the men queuing up to play netball? Probably because it's viewed as a second rate girls sport. Because men's things are seen to be more significant to participate in.

VereeViolet · 04/07/2019 23:26

Pets are not comparable to human children.

A lot of people get married too easily and divorced too easily, cheapening the institution.

There’s nothing wrong with financially depending on your husband.

Wage inequality is OK. The CEO that makes massively more than average in the private sector does so because they create more profit for the company than the typical employee.

McDonald’s, Burger King, etc. is not unhealthy if you don’t overeat it.

NewYoiker · 05/07/2019 01:31

Beans are horrible

namechsnged · 05/07/2019 01:40

Patients relatives are mainly rude and don't make want to speak to them anymore because they're shouting at me.

People who take their child to A&E because it's got a temperature give it calpol and don't put it in 3 coats, a vest and god knows what else as the first question will be 'have you given calpol' and 'no I wanted you to see how sick they are' is not acceptable calpol is literally paracetamol it won't magically make them not need A&E but it will make them feel a bit better whilst waiting to be seen.

People who give their kids calpol for everything.. it's just paracetamol.. strawberry flavoured but still paracetamol. It won't help them sleep unless theyre actually in pain.. also same to people who give their kids no calpol at all ever are just as bad. As they're the type to use cold and flu for themselves but expect a 2 year old with a streaming cold (probably a head ache and probably that horrible sore leg feeling) to power on with nothing at all is cruel.

I agree with others that tattoos are crap, especially big huge sleeves.

I don't judge people with them or anything, I just don't get why you'd want it on your body permanently.

Screamanger · 05/07/2019 01:55

Threads like this always go down like a fat kid on a seesaw. Anyway

  • people who spend all day inside are dull
  • BBQ’s, wood burners etc are awsome.
  • Towns, and cities are dangerous boring places to avoid. London especially.
  • nothing wrong with owning firearms
  • electric cars are bad for the earth, diesel is better, so what if it kills a few people.
  • socialism doesn’t work.
GibbonLover · 05/07/2019 02:07

Saltwater sandals are horrible.
Tattoos often make an otherwise beautiful outfit look awful.
Some women do tell their partners they're on the pill when they aren't.
Very young babies often look like potatoes.
Gaming is a perfectly acceptable pastime for over 21s.
'Family time' sounds like enforced hell.

Screamanger · 05/07/2019 03:04

Divorce is too easy

Anyone who hates dogs can’t be trusted.

If my dog doesn’t like you then I’ll trust my dog’s instincts.

Ferfeckssake · 05/07/2019 04:59

Doing things and justifying it by saying " It is to give me CONFIDENCE " is a load of bollocks . So overused .

IAmAlwaysLikeThis · 05/07/2019 05:24

Oh God and saying "don't judge me" and constantly going on about "judging".

People are judging you, even if they say a ton of wooly woke crap to appease you, so have a spine and stop caring what others think so much.

ImogenTubbs · 05/07/2019 05:48

That while I'm sure there are a few babies who "just don't sleep", most of the time it's because of poor management by the parent (and I say this as a mother of a child who was a terrible sleeper for three years - in retrospect it was definitely our fault).

Myfoolishboatisleaning · 05/07/2019 05:51

I don’t like penne.

BustedDreams · 05/07/2019 06:00

Little girl voices on grown up women.

Love him or hate him, a Trump is a business man rather than a diplomatic politician. America and American businesses has benefited from having a business man in the hot seat. Their economy has improved under Trump.

Females are born with XX chromosomes and males are born with XY chromosomes. That’s what I was taught as part of the school curriculum. Men cannot change that XY biology by deciding they identify as ‘women’ and become an XX women. They should be known as a ‘man identifying as a woman’.

likeacrow · 05/07/2019 06:28

Very young babies often look like potatoes Grin This made me laugh!

I've got some more:
Ironing is pointless and a con. Don't bother.

Smoking, swearing, being glued to a phone while with young children is terrible parenting.

Dogs are overrated and dog people are annoying. Ditto horses.

I LOVED not breast feeding and have a wonderfully strong bond with my very healthy pfb, now 2. Fuck breast feeding obsessives.

IAmAlwaysLikeThis · 05/07/2019 06:31

"Love him or hate him, a Trump is a business man rather than a diplomatic politician. America and American businesses has benefited from having a business man in the hot seat. Their economy has improved under Trump."

Presidents actually have very little impact on the economy. The economy runs in cycles. It takes years for policies to have a significant impact, if they ever do.

Foslady · 05/07/2019 06:34

Getting your child tutored to get into a grammar school is selfish - and you are diluting down wheat the school is aiming for - the child thinks because they have got in the hard work is over, no mate, you should be there because you want to learn, not because mummy and daddy think that you should be there - and it won’t improve your grades, just make it harder for the teachers having to pull you up because you’re struggling

Morgan12 · 05/07/2019 06:34

Yeh lots of businesses have thrived under Trump. Privately ran prisons and immigration detention centres come to mind Hmm

wanderings · 05/07/2019 06:35

It's fine to wear trainers without socks - no trainer liners for me!

@ProfessorofPerspective Incidentally, my DH plays netball; but it is a sport rarely played by men, with all sorts of restrictions on the men in mixed teams.

YumyumAndyum · 05/07/2019 06:36

Horses belong in fields - not on the road where they are a nervous hazzard and not on pavements dropping their massive shits everywhere.

Downunderduchess · 05/07/2019 07:18

People who play sports for a living are not special or to be admired, they get paid (often) too much. And I don't care how long you trained for the Olympics you aren't a hero
