Hi, can anyone recommend a solid shampoo and conditioner company that isn’t Lush please. Thanks.

Sheffield skincare company

ChaoticKate · 24/06/2019 22:17

I like beauty kubes. Form a lovely paste and make my fine hair feel really nice and thick.

littlem133 · 24/06/2019 22:42

I've been looking for a silver/purple one for blondes but can't find one (also won't go to lush!)

Watching with interest. I use the Lush ones. Is there a particular reason you don't like Lush OP is it the quality or something else?

Shetland Soap Company - a community enterprise company featured in Vogue. It’s employees are adults with learning disabilities

SpaceCadet4000 · 25/06/2019 00:03

Ethique ship to the UK (but it's from NZ... so carbon footprint!). They're setting up a base in the UK later this year.

Pixilicious · 25/06/2019 20:39

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I especially like the sound of the Shetland soap Compton
@moofolk
I’ll never shop there again after their anti-police advertising campaign.

I've been using this since the start of the year. My local garden centre stocks it for £2.99 though.

It's SLS free, unlike Kush's, and doesn't tear my hair out like the lush one I tried did.

ElizaPancakes · 25/06/2019 20:52

There’s one at Boots called Foamies (I think). Let me google.

Lessstressedhemum · 25/06/2019 20:55

Friendly Soap shampoo bars are really good.
Moofolk;, do the Shetland Soap soaps work as shampoo? Because I would like to support a business that supports people with disabilities.

ShutUpLegs · 25/06/2019 20:59

I LOVE these products. I know its airline shipping but I know they are looking to get UK based supplier. But the bars are ace.

The Shetland Soap Company don't have their shampoo bars on the website, I'm not sure why not, but they are lovely to deal with, so just phone and ask.

teenmumandsowhat · 25/06/2019 21:11

I second Beauty Kubes too,

Zuma76 · 25/06/2019 21:13

Juliet rose soaps- lovely

MuddledUpAgain · 25/06/2019 21:19

Yorkshire soap do lovely shampoo bars for different hair types.

fakeniceperson · 25/06/2019 21:33

Friendly soaps & shampoos are British and you can order online. They're a lovely company to deal with & very efficient.

Products are great though I had to adjust to the shampoo bars at first as it's quite a different feeling from using bottle shampoo.

What's the deal with boycotting Lush?

These look rather lovely and well priced.

Doryhunky · 25/06/2019 21:49

Which ones have the best results for hair? Trying one now and it makes my hair lank!

Laquila · 25/06/2019 21:54

Following for advice.

Does anyone use solid conditioner?

Zuma76 · 25/06/2019 22:00

I used neem conditioner Juliet Rose soaps. It’s lovely

OllyBJolly · 25/06/2019 22:17

I use the Shetland soap company shampoo bar and (liquid) conditioner. It really is excellent. No idea why it's not on the website but if you contact them on the website or their facebook page they'll send it.

My hair is in great condition and super shiny. And the scent is gorgeous

gingerbread88 · 25/06/2019 22:31

Crystal Cole do solid shampoo bars

Lessstressedhemum · 25/06/2019 22:43

I use solid conditioner. I buy an Avocado oil one from lasheba on eBay. It's really good and lasts a long time. I have very curly, very dry hair and this conditioner works wonders on it.

DinosApple · 25/06/2019 23:28

Solid bar company. The conditioner works for me too. Pricey though.
