Tell me about your local animals

Where I live, there's a one-legged seagull that some people call The Flamingull and others call Steven SeaGULL. He is fairly tame and hops from car to car on his single leg, across the roofs and bonnets in town.

I expect there are unowned or wild animals in other towns that have been named or recognised by locals for various reasons, and it felt like a good weekend thread idea Grin Care to share?

Not a wild animal but there's a local cat who everyone stops and comments on because of his glorious ear tufts. He's ginger, long haired, and has massive curls of fur on the tip of each ear that curl down and touch his cheeks. He is stunning! I think I know what house he's from as he's usually sitting on the same wall but I've never seen the owners. I'd love to find out his name, in my head he must have a very fancy name to fit his looks Grin

We also used to have a chicken in the village that I’m assuming belonged to someone but wandered off a lot. Almost every morning, without fail, she would be perched on the top of a conifer near my DC1’s school just watching the world go by. She’d accept the odd tickle from adults but wasn’t a massive fan of children Confused Haven’t seen her in a long time though, so I’m guessing her owners moved, or built an enclosure that she couldn’t escape from!
