Toy Story 4

Has anyone else seen it. I cried, actually sobbed. My eldest is 17 and he came with me, DS2 and DD. It was like the official ending to his childhood so I was extra weepy annd so was he.

It seems like only yesterday that he had a very annoying Buzz Lightyear toy that he was obsessed with.

I've got wine.

I am taking DS 7 and his best friend to see it tomorrow- will I regret it? I sobbed at Toy Story 3.

LucilleBluth · 22/06/2019 18:21

You won't regret it..just bring some tissues 😀

Saw it today - properly sobbed at the end and I think Woody made the wrong decision.

MsPavlichenko · 22/06/2019 18:33

When the first film came out, my DS was five, is twenty seven now!

My DS, DD, DP and I went yesterday and loved it . Had a wee bubble too.

perhapstomorrow · 22/06/2019 18:35

I saw it yesterday. Although tears were shed, I found Toy Story 3 far more upsetting. Despite seeing it numerous times, I still sob like a baby when Andy gives Bonnie his box of toys. :(

MsPavlichenko · 22/06/2019 18:36

Actually he's twenty eight !

small2018 · 22/06/2019 18:41

Toy Story 3 made me cry! This one was a bit meh for me.

OhHelpx · 22/06/2019 18:44

Also cried! Cannot stop thinking about Woody and the ending and it not being right 😩

Walkamileinmyshoesbeforeujudge · 22/06/2019 18:49

Just me that thought it was rubbish then?!

MonstranceClock · 22/06/2019 18:51

Im taking my daughter tomorrow, I'm so excited! I'm 25 so grew up with Toy Story!

Watfrordmummy · 22/06/2019 18:54

Absolutely sobbed at Toy story 3 and still can't watch without crying. DS1 was obsessed with 1&2 as a child as would watch them on repeat so #3 was almost like rather end of bis childhood.

I was nervous going to see 4, and took both DS (now 16 &19) and I did cry but not as bad as 3.

I just love Buzz and Woody et al.

Will always have a special place in my heart.

EdWinchester · 22/06/2019 18:55

I really want to see it.

I remember taking my 2 and 2 of their friends to Toy Story 3, after which I practically had to be ventilated and I couldn't speak to any of the kids for about 1/2 an hour.

icebearforpresident · 22/06/2019 18:56

Toy Story is hands down my favourite movie of all time. I was about 8 when it came out and it properly blew my mind.

Planning on taking my 3&5 year olds tomorrow. ‘They’ are desperate to see it.

icebearforpresident · 22/06/2019 18:57

Did anyone see Graeme Norton last night? I need the new Woody toy in my life!

Fatted · 22/06/2019 18:58

I was going to take DC but my eldest is terrified of the monkey in the third one and doesn't want to! Plus I thought the bit in the incinerator in 3 was scary as hell!! Please tell me there's nothing like that in this one.

LucilleBluth · 22/06/2019 19:04

There are some very creepy ventriloquist dolls.

I was pregnant with DD when I saw no.3. I also sobbed but I think no.4 is more of a weepy imo.

I cried at 3 because my DS was just going to university as Andy goes to college. I need to see this with my DS!

Still have Buzz and Woody from when the first film came out. A friend got me Buzz from New York as I couldn't get one for love nor money in the UK. The things we do for our DCsSmile

ValleyoftheHorses · 22/06/2019 19:18

DS and his best friend are watching TS2 now - they are having a sleepover tonight then cinema and Pizza Hut tomorrow.

LucilleBluth · 22/06/2019 19:28

It really is a story about milestones. Woody and his existential crisis is all of us at some point in our lives.

I also remember sobbing at that dumpling animated short that was on before Incredibles 2. I used to be as hard as nails.

Saw it today, rubbish.

JessicaPeach · 22/06/2019 19:36

I cried too. I felt like crying at the beginning too, I took my 5yo and it just seemed really special getting to see one in the cinema with him. He was all dressed up as Buzz and we took buzz to see it too. I hope it will be one of those first childhood memories he always looks back on fondly. It will be up there as one of them for me when it's inevitably still being shown on tv in however many years time when he is grown up.

Punxsutawney · 22/06/2019 19:38

Ds is 19 and adored Buzz Lightyear when he was a little boy. He had the toys and a costume. He even persuaded his pre school to change his name in the register to Buzz! I always feel emotional around Toy Story, it makes me think of Ds when he was 3 running around in his Buzz costume even though the legs were too long, he was just so excited when he came down on Christmas morning to find it. Happy times.

namechangedyetagain · 22/06/2019 19:38

Oh gosh. We're seeing this tomorrow. In the same week that my grandad passed away and I've taken eldest for secondary school uniform fitting.

Will I cry?

graziemille567 · 22/06/2019 19:43

Took our DS today and sobbed my heart out at the ending. DS was sat on my lap by the end, and his hair was wet from my tears! I actually really liked it and thought there were a lot of funny bits. Only complaint I had was that most of the gang were sidelined with little to do- Buzz was barely in it really! But I think I agree with the ending.
