Does anyone still remember emkana's ds?

He turns 13 today ShockSmile
After a busy day a moment to take stock and reflect. In many many ways he's doing way better than we could ever have hoped during those scary pregnancy days, but there have been choppy waters galore nevertheless and still lots of certainty what the future holds. Still no firm diagnosis - this consumed me when he was younger but now I don't care, but it's not a big deal.
The support I had on MN back then meant so much, which is why I thought I'd check in today!

Yes I recall... short femur at the U/Scan, wasn't that the start?
Fantastic to hear he's doing well. x
Life is an adventure, and all that.

hazeyjane · 19/06/2019 22:30

Yes!
My ds with complex needs was undiagnosed until last year (he is nearly 9) and I used to see your posts talking about your ds and feel solidarity!
It's great to hear he is doing well and see you on the boards. How are you doing??

emkana · 19/06/2019 22:32

Up and down! Sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed. But all in all life is good

Much love from an Oldie.

I remember too. Happy birthday to him Cake

NaomifromMilkshake · 19/06/2019 22:45

Ok.......... that is spooky, I only thought of you and him the other day.

Only because there was a poster name that started Emk..

So, so happy for you.

Life becomes what you can make of it, I developed a life changing condition PPM, DH two years later,[clearly not PPM]Grin neither of which are ideal, but you work around them.

So happy for you all.

xx
