It can be today, tomorrow, next month, next year....just thought it might be nice to have a happy, cheerful thread Smile

Tomorrow: I'm looking forward to garlic bread for tea (totally fucking addicted to garlic bread at the minute)

In two weeks: I'm looking forward to a takeaway, wine, DVDs night with DP to finish off what's been a really stressful 6 months.

For the next six months: I'm looking forward to not having to be in work (on sabbatical), not having to be particularly available on emails and not having to do any teaching (I'm a lecturer)

I'm looking forward to my internship in special care dentistry next week. Never in 1000 yea did I ever think I would be looking forward to spending time with the dentist! I am a very terrified dental patient, or I was anyway, and I even learned Greek during a root canal. I'm terrified of the dentist, but my dentist was Greek and I love languages… So, in order to get treatment, I started learning Greek… I have special needs by the way, and like many other people, going to the dentist and accessing treatment is very difficult, so I can't believe everything that's happened in the past year. I went to a dental conference for special needs, and I have run two dents dental programs, I'm working on a podcast and so many other things… And unbelievably, I passed my very first exam about dentistry the other day… I found out yesterday, and I was crying. I just couldn't believe it.

I'm looking forward to starting a new book with a nice bit of chocolate and a cup of tea in bed when dh goes out later. I'm a student nurse and have just finished second year, looking forward to my final year and graduating! I've got three weeks off now-really looking forward to being at home with dh and dc spending time together as a family.

Paying off my mortgage!
It's an absolutely tiny mortgage (and flat) but it's been eating into my income. Soon, I'll have a lot more to spend on DDs. Smile

Tomorrow: Catching up with two friends I haven't seen for ages - speaking at a conference with them, then going out for a meal.

Two weeks: Finding out if I'm pregnant yet with DC1 - fingers crossed!

Six months: Finishing my PhD - again, fingers crossed....

This month - a weekend in London with DH & DCs doing the galleries and museums.

August - 10 days in a quirky hotel in Seville with family and friends.

Next February half term - the Caribbean with family and friends.

I'm off on holiday tomorrow! UK beach holiday with DH and our little dog. Had a difficult few weeks so really looking forward to it. Just dreading the report from the neighbours on what DS(18) gets up to in our absence!

Getting my pension in September. Five and a half years later than I expected it. I'm looking forward to having choices again. I can decide to eat out and I can decide where. I can decide how many days I want to work. I can decide where to buy my clothes from instead of Asda or Primark. I won't have to struggle cutting my lawn, I'll be able to afford a gardener. I'll be able to afford a hairdresser. So much more choice. 😀

It's been difficult as no one wants to employ an older lady and even though my pension is a pittance compared to other EU countries, it will make such a difference.
