Why are you awake?

It's 3:15am. Why are you awake? Who else in your household is awake?

Currently me, newborn and 2 year old are awake. 7 year old is asleep next to me on the sofa as he woke up an hour ago and vomitted. 2 year old has vomitted twice. Please don't let a bug hit the house. Newborn is only 6 days old. Got 4 other kids. I can't deal with a sick bug and a newborn :(

2yo has a coldy flu bug thing. All of the snot. Mostly in my hair. Oh, and some in my eye, so that was nice.

Not slept at all.
Now stressing about the morning as no sleep.

I think it is the full moon 🌕

Delayed sleep phase disorder. This is my usual bed time.

Needed a wee. Now can't back to sleep.

BruceTheMoose · 18/06/2019 04:11

Had a nightmare which coincided with getting my period and the terrible pains that come with it! Currently sat with my hot water bottle waiting for the painkillers to kick in so I can go back to sleep and not be a zombie for work. Doesn't look likely as I've just read thread on here about someone thinking their house is haunted and I'm too scared now 🙄

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 18/06/2019 04:12

Haven't slept properly since DH died. I am at work in 4 hours and haven't even nodded off. It sucks.

Aveeno2017 · 18/06/2019 04:15

Up since 3 to check my daughter's glucose levels (joys of diabetes) then I start thinking....

I'm sorry to read about your dh Flowers

If it helps I have to leave the house at 8am as well and have not slept one bit.

My grandad passed earlier today. Head is spinning. So tired but can't sleep. Miss him so much already

Xiaoxiong · 18/06/2019 04:54

DS(7) came into our room upset around 3.45, took about 30 mins of comforting before he admitted he doesn't want to go to school as yesterday some kids called him weird and were mean to him in games. Now he is asleep and I am wide awake worrying! It's bright as day outside which doesn't help.

SillyLittleBiscuit · 18/06/2019 05:04

Sorry to everyone suffering right now.

I’ve got insomnia. Up between 3am - 6am ish most mornings. Will fall asleep again at some point and get a solid 20 mins before alarm goes off 🙄

WigwamPumpernickle · 18/06/2019 05:06

Horrendous anxiety Sad

Bloodybridget · 18/06/2019 05:49

I woke before 4, had a cup of tea, worked on a jigsaw puzzle downstairs. Now back in bed hoping for a couple more hours sleep. Am recovering from surgery for ovarian cancer and have follow up appointment today when I'll get pathology results - stage and grade. I'm not worried as I'm sure it was caught early and surgery successful. Much sympathy to all who are caring for babies, children and adults; anxious, bereaved or simply insomniac.
