Favourite ice cream flavour?

I want to make some ice cream today despite the weather but I don't want to make anything "normal" like vanilla, strawberry or chocolate.

What's your favourite ice cream flavour of all time? I need a bit of inspiration!

On a school trip to France once I picked what I thought was mint choc chip.

It was pistachio.

It was a cruel blow.

I’ve never totally trusted mint choc chip since.

It’s been 40 years.

Delia’s lemon meringue ice cream is gorgeous. I try to make a few different flavours every year and this is one of the most popular.

I did some really lovely gooseberry and elderflower once. It was yogurt based rather than custard and incredibly delicious! I think the recipe was on BBC good food website.

YEsterday i had a scoop of pineapple (ice cream, not sorbet) and a scoop of coconut. It was perfect lovely creamy gorgeous stuff.

My favourite ice cream book is The Perfect Scoop by David Lebowitz. Check it out for lots of ideas.
