Do you like this bed?

I’m rubbish with colours. I tend to shy away and go for safe neutrals, but I really want a new cosy bedroom. We are getting new wardrobes, blinds, paint carpet and everything -so it’s a blank canvas
So do you like this bed? Perhaps teamed with an orange comforter (I don’t like the rather insipid pink they have used).

I really like it and think if you kept the rest of the room neutral-ish, you could have real fun with the bedding, cushions throws etc in different colours and prints.

HappyEverIftar · 13/06/2019 02:56

Actually, phenomenalcats wallpaper is ace.

No I don't like it at all. Personally I wouldn't buy any coloured beds as I like to change my colours now & again and I'd find a coloured bed too restrictive

Pearlington27 · 13/06/2019 03:23

Love it!

Glad it's not just me loving the wallpaper. I think we're moving towards maximalism and away from the clean cut scandi lines to try and make a safe haven at home as the world looks more scary day by day. There's nothing better than a bold velvet bed to make you feel like seizing the day. Hope we get to see some photos if you go for it.

Thanks again everyone. phenomenalcat I love that wallpaper! I’m waiting for a fabric sample at the moment and then I can see more clearly how much blue/green is in it. Do you know where the wall paper is from?

Exactly that, I want a safe space to be cosy in. I’m tired of magnolia and neutrals, but I’ve made mistakes with colour before and I’m afraid to go for the plunge

Sorry but i don't like it. Looks a bit cheap and tacky to me. However my opinion doesn't count. If you like it then that's all that matters.

OkMaybeNot · 13/06/2019 12:05

I feel like it will date very quickly. It's very trend-specific.

I'd avoid unless I was willing to either put up with it for another 5-10 years or buy new if I didn'r likw it anymore.

Damntheman · 13/06/2019 12:07

I LOVE the colour, I hate the headboard. The headboard is just not my style but if you like it then that''s what counts!

My bedroom is painted ochre, it's a gorgeous warm cosy colour :)

I love it! And it does look pretty art deco too Grin

I reckon you could pick up the colour pretty easily too. Matching cushions for an accent chair. A throw with a velvet border (thicker than the picture).

Definitely not to everyone's taste, but then, I'm a total drama queen Grin
