Just that really. Am I too old? Opinions please.

Of course not.

Wavyheaded · 09/06/2019 22:01

Nope. I'm 47 and I have one.

pickleface · 09/06/2019 22:01

Course not. Why would you be?

bloodywhitecat · 09/06/2019 22:01

I'm 55. I still wear one so if you're too old I am waaaaaaaay past it.

BumbleBeee69 · 09/06/2019 22:02

Hardly Hmm

I love mines

friedbeansandcheese · 09/06/2019 22:02

No! Same age as you, and I have one!

Cherylshaw · 09/06/2019 22:02

I hate denim jackets on any one old young male female. I just don't get them

WhiteLightTrainWreck · 09/06/2019 22:02

Nope, my mum is 48 and regularly borrows mine her one from the 80s that I stole you're never too old for denim jackets!

PivotPivotPivottt · 09/06/2019 22:03

My 53 year old mum tried one on today when I was buying one. She looked better in it than I did!

jenthelibrarian · 09/06/2019 22:08

I'm 63 and I have one.

It is a 'boyfriend' style, bit longer rather than the very cropped shape, but at 5ft 7in I think the length is in better proportion for me.

PuddleglumtheMarshWiggle · 09/06/2019 22:17

I'm 55 and still wearing one. It is white denim, which I love. Would consider buying a blue denim one. As long as the style suits your body shape then no problem.
Enjoy it!

Burlea · 09/06/2019 22:18

I'm 59 and I love my jacket. I think if you like it wear it

Walkamileinmyshoesbeforeujudge · 09/06/2019 22:18

I am 47 and have one!! Not with jeans though, bit matchy matchy!!

ChangingStates · 09/06/2019 22:22

47 and love mine.

BIWI · 09/06/2019 22:24

FFS - what on earth does age have to do with anything?

The casual ageism on MN is truly depressing.

If you like it, if it fits, if you can afford it - THEN WEAR IT!

And stop worrying about age. It's irrelevant

TheVanguardSix · 09/06/2019 22:26

It's too old to have a baby.
But hell no, it's not too old for a denim jacket!

CountFosco · 09/06/2019 22:37

It's too old to have a baby.

It's rare to have a baby over 45 but not unknown. If you can conceive and carry a baby to term it's not too old.

GreenDragon75 · 09/06/2019 22:38

I still wear mind all the time. Definitely don’t double D though. I do occasionally and my kids want to disown me 😀

StillMedusa · 09/06/2019 22:39

51 here and wear mine regularly!

Herefortheduration · 09/06/2019 22:43

I'm 52, had mine on today. I think your question is bizarre if I'm honest, why does age matter about something so plain as s denim jacket?

yummyeclair · 09/06/2019 22:47

Nope, I am 50 and wear the same one I bought at 22 years old!

Craftycorvid · 09/06/2019 22:53

Rocking mine. 52. Never knowingly wear anything deemed ‘suitable’ or ‘age-appropriate’ (whatever the hell that is anyway). A denim jacket is a classic anyway.

Rory4Leader · 09/06/2019 22:54

Can't believe you're even considering wearing a denim jacket at that great age.

You really should have thought about winding down on the denim jacket wearing from about 45 and a half years old. Because they're okay on that age group...Hmm

DontCallMeShitley · 09/06/2019 23:16

If you are happy wearing one then go ahead.

Lots of them about, however, I don't like them personally, some of the decorative cropped ones look good but not keen on the plain ones and the old style ones.

MayFayner · 09/06/2019 23:21

No I don’t think there’s an age limit on denim jackets.

My mum is 71 and has an All-Saints biker, I must say I was a bit surprised when I first saw it but then I thought fuck it, why shouldn’t she? I wouldn’t have batted an eyelid at a denim one tbh.
