Premier Inn bedbugs. Wwyd?

So, l got these after a one night stay in a Premier Inn. I was covered from head to toe all the time l was out, and slept with the window closed. They are like nothing I’ve ever had before. I’ve googled lots of tones, and they look the same and are in lines rather than clusters. I have very bad reactions to bites but these have been the worst ever. By a process of elimination, they can only be bedbugs.

I contacted them via email, but it takes 10 days to reply. There will be a million bugs by then. I contacted them by messenger, but as the booking was in Dh’s Name they will only speak to him and he doesn’t do social media.

He tried several times to phone their customer helpline, being kept on hold etc go a long time. When he did get through eventually, someone went to speak to someone about it for a minute. 10 minutes later they weren’t back and then he got cut off. No one called him back.

Do I put these in Trip Adviser or Twitter?

Twitter usually gets a pretty quick response

You poor thing. That looks really painful

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 09/06/2019 21:39

How long after check out did they appear?

natt256 · 09/06/2019 21:40

Can you not go back to the hotel at all? Is it local?

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 09/06/2019 21:40

We left in the morning. They started itching at about 11.00pm

Also, I think you need to see a GP tomorrow and establish exactly what they are and see if you need any cream.

Gunpowder · 09/06/2019 21:41

Trip advisor!

Wolfiefan · 09/06/2019 21:42

Ouch that looks awful.
Regretting booking a premier inn for the autumn now. Shock

Cwenthryth · 09/06/2019 21:42

Phone the hotel directly, you might have to dig a little but you can usually find a way (or ask the main customer service to put you through to the hotel), or yes, Twitter.

EAIOU · 09/06/2019 21:42

They look awful. I hope they get back to you as soon as possible.

Have you any way of messaging customer support on Twitter??

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 09/06/2019 21:42

They are all on one side of my body. I always sleep with one leg out of the covers. This leg is the one that was under the covers

Poor you!!

I would post on Twitter as you’re having no luck with other ways.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 09/06/2019 21:43

I’m thinking Twitter, but not sure

There is only one helpline number that l can see. No direct number to the hotel l stayed in

Yep, Twitterfest.

Also see GP. DH developed cellulitis after being bed-bugged in Budapest.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 09/06/2019 21:45

The photos are from last week. They’ve gone down a lot, just look like maroon blisters now.

I had an issue with a stay in a Premier Inn, phoned and emailed, but in the end Twitter was my friend and i got a resolution really quickly.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 09/06/2019 21:46

BUT, as l contacted them, if they are bedbugs, why would they wait 10 days?! There’s be an army of them by then😷

Omg was about to book a PI but am going g to find an alternative now!

Griiiiiim

Which PI was it?

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 09/06/2019 21:50

Have you checked their Trip Advisor page? If you stayed a week ago there may be others who stayed after you.

SlimGin · 09/06/2019 21:51

Maybe the 10 days response is an automated response to give them a bit of a buffer, hopefully someone has seen your email and streamlined it.

LetterOfTheLawFella · 09/06/2019 21:51

They do look nasty but I don't think they're bed bugs. Looks more like mosquito bites to me, especially as you keep one leg out at night.

SkintAsASkintThing · 09/06/2019 22:01

Facebook messenger always respond straight away.

Op. Please tell me you left your bags outside ?? 👀👀👀

DontCallMeShitley · 09/06/2019 22:03

Might be best to find out what they are before you put it online, in case it is not bed bugs.

PatoPotato · 09/06/2019 22:03

If possible I would bin whatever you had in that room so you don't transfer the bugs to your home and I would try my travel insurance. You could also sue for this and go for bed bug bite compensation.
