Help me feel better about being a drunk idiot

Went to a wedding of one of my husbands colleagues on Friday. I have to say that we have known them and many of the other work guests in a social sense for several years and would class them as friends but even so....

I was pretty nervous about attending, conscious of how I looked and had a nice outfit picked and bought months ago. People kept buying me drinks throughout the day and into the evening and let's just say I got a bit too drunk. I don't remember a great deal but apparently I was doing some interesting dancing (cringe cringe cringe), being quite loud and chatting general rubbish to all those unfortunate to encounter me. I think my dress might have popped open at one point too Shock

Yesterday I had a horrific hangover which has now been replaced by anxiety. I know I over indulged. My husband isn't cross and finds it funny but i feel like an idiot. In all of the photos I just look bleary eyed and ridiculous. I'm in my late thirties I should know better! I wasn't abusive or anything but I'm worried about what the bride and grooms family will think as well as hubbys work colleagues (a few of which have messaged hubby and myself asking if I've recovered Blush)

Can anyone make me feel better with some reassurance or drunken stories of your own! I swear this isn't something I usually do and just feel mortified! No nasty comments please

Oh my God m4rdybum that made me fall about laughing. If it makes you feel better I did something similar when I fell very hard and fractured my coxycs on a drunken night out. Didn't realize this can cause temporary inconvenience. Woke up in a terrible state and never lived it down 😖

Some of these stories have made me feel so much better haha. I managed to get through yesterday and the anxiety is fading now but definitely a lesson for next time! It always seems like fun at the time but it's so not worth the fear and shame the next day! Or the satisfaction of giving Mrs smug ammunition to look down on me! But if anyone has said anything I've just tried to style it out with a 'what am I like ey' and a laugh 😂

Who were you grinding on OP?! Let's hope it wasn't the brides grandad Grin

I've done so many humiliating things whilst drunk. They include: public urination on numerous occcasions, pulling my trousers down at a wedding reception and flashing my knickers. I wanted to moon but my boyfriend managed to pull me away. Sex in VERY risky places, being thrown out of a club for vomiting excessively and generally being a nuisance, wetting myself in front of my Dad, chatting up an ex teacher who I ran into in a club and telling him how I used to have fantasies about him, flirting with my boyfriends Dad at a wedding and dancing suggestively up against him. Had a fist fight with my lovely sister on the way out of a restaurant for our elderly grandmothers birthday because we couldn't agree on who got to sit in the front seat of the car Blush

That's just a little snapshot of my quite frankly, awful behaviour! I don't drink much anymore!

Well done on styling it out OP, it's the only thing for it.

I've done some shockers when drunk, too many to list but a couple of highlights for you:

  1. Work do, absolutely leathered, went to go to bed, fell over and landed hands first in the MD's crotch. We were all having breakfast together the next day. MD also happens to be my direct line manager.
  1. Fell over hammered on a night out and smashed my front tooth. It's a crown/ bridge already and I cracked the root. It's going to cost £3-5k to fix as I need bottom braces before they'll do an implant. Not covered on the NHS. It'll be broken for a long time.

Also, mercifully there is no video footage of any of my misdemeanours

Whoever put a video of your sexual dancing on FB is a total dick. That's out of order.
