upgrade from double bed to king size - is it worth it?

I don't think I can fit a super king in my house, but I'd like to get a bigger bed. DS comes in every night, and practically kicks me out of my double, do you think that a king size would make enough difference to make it worth it?

Yes. Even a few inches makes all the difference Grin

beela · 08/06/2019 18:16

Yes. Do it!

LarryGreysonsDoor · 08/06/2019 18:16

Yes. 100x yes.
My small cat still manages to spread herself over the entire damn thing though.

I have a super king size as that's a standard double where I live. DS still manages to shove me out when he's doing his starfish impression.

WorraLiberty · 08/06/2019 18:22

Yes, definitely.

DragonMamma · 08/06/2019 18:22

Without a doubt, yes.

PlainJane74 · 08/06/2019 18:24

Yes

happyhillock · 08/06/2019 18:25

100% yes.

00100001 · 08/06/2019 18:25

Yes!

We have a super king, it’s amazing

MrsMozartMkII · 08/06/2019 18:25

Yes!

And if you can possibly at all squeeze a super king sized one in then do it Grin

Bluerussian · 08/06/2019 18:26

A king sized bed is lovely, super king even better but if you can't fit one into your bedroom, go for a king.

BrokenWing · 08/06/2019 18:26

We have a super king in our bedroom, we have to squeeze around it, but it's been brilliant when ds wanted in. Now ds is 15 we have said next time we buy a new bed we will probably downgrade to a king size, but I think I'll miss the space and extra length too much.

ThinkWittyThoughts · 08/06/2019 18:28

Yes. 100%

Next time I'm upgrading to super king

Topsy44 · 08/06/2019 18:29

I have a super king and its amazing! Again, its squeezed in to a room but its so worth it.

MonkeyfaceThereturn · 08/06/2019 18:29

Yes. Yes yes and yes again.

We went from a double to a super king. We have nothing else in our room 😂

I LOVE MY BED.

Don't even know DH and usually a child or two are in with me. So much heavenly space.

TapasForTwo · 08/06/2019 18:30

Double beds are too constricting. Most hotels do kingsize if not superking. Do it.

ExpletiveDelighted · 08/06/2019 18:32

Yes. We thought our double was fine until a bed salesman asked were we quite sure we didn't have room for a kingsize, we remeasured, went for it, so pleased we did.

Purpleartichoke · 08/06/2019 18:33

It is nothing less than life changing. I am not exaggerating. If you gave the space, get the bigger bed.

Crimebustersofthesea · 08/06/2019 18:33

Definitely and if there's any chance you can squeeze a superking in then even better. We share ours with a 35 kg dog (and it would be plenty big enough if he didn't feel like he always has to be on top of one of us)

madcatladyforever · 08/06/2019 18:34

It is so worth it, I have a king sized bed all to myself it's great.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 08/06/2019 18:34

No adult above the age of 23 should endure the pains of a double bed.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/06/2019 18:35

Hell, yes! Go for it, you'll never look back!

TheCrowdSayBoSecta · 08/06/2019 18:35

We went up to a king and I wish so bad we'd gone for the super king! Kids + OH 😭

ohwhattodowithmylife · 08/06/2019 18:38

Yes, I have downsized to a double after a super king as I ditched the husband, but when one of the kids get in and the dog or cat is there I feel the difference!
