HELP! How to stop crows attacking my car?

I have a black car that Iv had 3/4 months and it is parked on my drive way. For the last month 2 crows keep attacking a specific area on the car. They start this as soon as it’s light. They are very angry with the car not just pecking at it and are really scratching it. There is no road kill underneath, they’ve done it when it’s really clean (thinking possibly a reflection thing) and also when it’s dirty. They’ve done it when it’s sunny as well as when it’s been damp and dull.

Went to the garage and they weren’t interested. I. Can’t cover the whole car as they would still get under it to do it as it’s right at the bottom of the car. I can’t park my car anywhere else.

Any crow experts? Anything that can deter them?? Iv been banging on the widow each time I see them do it and they do fly off but of course come back every day. They like pecking on my front lawn so obviously have a food source there too!

I mean car wax, turtle wax or similar.

And you can't just put something heavy on the bottom of the sheet to hold it down? Maybe attach some fabric to the bottom of the cover like a sort of valance and weight it down with a bucket of water or something?

You've probably said by now but I missed where you described which bit of the car it is

Aren’t crows the messengers of the Norse gods? Thor probably needs to borrow your car to go to Aldi, or something. Leave the keys out. The crows will probably push them through the letterbox when Thor has unpacked his shopping.

He’s probably heard about the gas barbecues in the centre aisle.

The neighbours must think I’m mad out there with the crap I keep putting near or on the car Grin

Wax may work haven’t tried that.....

I have the cover arriving today.... we shall see! They will probably watch me do it, sit up on the roof ‘crowing’ at me and then get under it! Watch this space. I’m currently sat on sofa with a coffee and can see them sat on the roof of the house opposite.

We had an attacking blackbird pecking and pooing on DH's new car. He stacked logs in front of the offending bumper. Also a friend had an angry crow pecking loudly on a window early every morning. She put a plastic owl on the other side of the glass which scared it off.
It doesn't seem to happen again, just a random thing so once they go they shouldn't come back.
What about getting DH to pee on it. The smell should unnerve them, or try some smelly cheese.

Use a couple of magnets to hold a sheet onto the car so it doesn't flap up in the wind.

I’m laughing so much at this thread. Imagining the neighbours looking at OP giving offerings to her new car, and then covering it up and her DH weeing on it and throwing smelly cheese at it!

Use big L-plate magnets to hold a sheet over it, or smear with Vaseline to stop it bring reflective
