Today in a discussion at work I was seen as the crazy person because I wear pants underneath my pajamas... is this unusual or are my colleagues winding me up?

Why would you wear pants under your pyjamas??? I think you are the weird one!

RaptorWhiskers · 03/06/2019 23:43

Surely if you don’t wear pants you can only wear the pyjamas for one night?

nowifi · 03/06/2019 23:44

I do! I don't wear pjs but when I do have to wear pants, feel weird otherwise!

Fatted · 03/06/2019 23:44

Why does this always come up as a topic on MN at least once a bloody week?! Is there some kind of underwear under nightwear troll?

Chickenwing · 03/06/2019 23:44

The same reason I wear pants underneath my regular clothes... I've always done this and assumed it was the norm.

OP posts:
QuantamBaby · 03/06/2019 23:44

Nope, not the norm....

EAIOU · 03/06/2019 23:45

No pants!

Bythebeach · 03/06/2019 23:45

Pant free if wearing pjs in this house!

userxx · 03/06/2019 23:45

Do you mean for just lazing around in or for sleeping?

Chickenwing · 03/06/2019 23:45

Oh sorry I haven't seen a previous post about this. But good to know I'm not the only pajama and pant wearer Grin

OP posts:
Chickenwing · 03/06/2019 23:47

@userxx both! I live in pajamas (when not at work)

Always wear pants under pjs. Not wearing them is a bit odd imo but bodily autonomy - is a thing Grin

MaxiPaddy · 04/06/2019 02:10

I never wear pants. Gin

AmyFl · 04/06/2019 02:22

I wear pants under pyjamas.

Mokepon · 04/06/2019 02:31

I'd burn alive if I wore pyjamas to bed never mind a pair of pants underneath!😓🔥
I think it's weird but each to their own.

WanderingTrolley1 · 04/06/2019 02:47

I always wear pants with pjs! The thought of seams in my nethers makes me shudder.

MissLadyM · 04/06/2019 02:48

So uncomfortable! I sleep naked! You need to let your fanjo 'air'!

Zoflorabore · 04/06/2019 03:00

It's weird because I've always as an adult worn knickers under pyjamas and I live in them as soon as I'm in for the day, clean pair every day but both of my dc wear theirs with nothing under.

AlphaBlocks · 04/06/2019 03:02

I wear pants under otherwise I'd have to change my pyjamas every night (although obvs not wearing pjs in this weather!). I'm assuming the no knickers camp have a lot more laundry to deal with

MaxiPaddy · 04/06/2019 03:03

Rarely wear underwear myself, but never understood the whole 'need to let my vag air' thing.

Mokepon · 04/06/2019 03:08

I'd think you have more laundry wearing pyjamas and 2 pairs of pants everyday!

Rememberallball · 04/06/2019 08:39

Usually I sleep naked in my own home or when on holiday unless we are staying in someone’s home with them then I wear nightie/pj’s with pants underneath. I couldn’t bear to have a damp gusset in pj trousers in the same way I wouldn’t wear clothes during the day and not wear pants underneath them.

DizzyPigeon · 04/06/2019 08:46

I rarely wear pj's, but if I do it's when I'm away and wearing them for maybe a week while on holiday /on a course, so wear pants underneath so I don't have to take 7 pairs.

Nottobesoldseparately · 04/06/2019 09:09

I wear knickers under my pj's, feels weird not to.

I also wear a vest top too, tucked into my bottoms, then my pj top over that. DH moves around a lot and disturbs the duvet, where as I practically hibernate and my body temp falls massively. I need to keep warm!

Very · 04/06/2019 13:07

I never used to wear pants to bed, whether wearing a nightie or pj's or nothing (ah, the early days of marriage Grin)

Now I just feel more comfy covered up in bed, so always wear undies. Don't know why... having DC's roaming around the house and jumping in bed with us at 5am maybe?
