Today in a discussion at work I was seen as the crazy person because I wear pants underneath my pajamas... is this unusual or are my colleagues winding me up?

@Bluerussian
Mine are. I literally leave a huge wet patch. I need clean knickers with a (washable) liner before bed. Now I’m pg it is worse and I sometimes change that during the night. No knickers and PJ’s would be wet.
GP has confirmed all normal, its just the way I am. We are all different!

I always sleep naked, except l wear knix during my period.

I don’t own PJs, but if I did I wouldn't wear anything under them any more than l would a long summer dress.

No way, you have to let things air! I do change my pjs everyday though (I put them all on a super quick 15 minute wash at the end of the week).

StarlightLady · 05/06/2019 06:10

I do wonder how those with children who wear PJs and knix ever got pregnant. Shock. That must have been a passionate encounter Grin.

Is there any medical reason to 'let things air'? I always wear pants but that's because having kids has totalled my pelvic floor

Crunchymum · 05/06/2019 08:13

Why weren you discussing this with your work colleagues? Shock

FangsTasticBeast · 05/06/2019 08:24

I always wear pmts with pjs, it never gets an airing

Susangilley7 · 05/06/2019 08:44

Yep, I wear pants. Normal isn’t it?

Theoldwoman · 05/06/2019 09:10

I don't wear pj's, but my kids do and have always worn knickers underneath, and we wash the pj's after one wear. I would imagine if you wore your pj's more than once you should be wearing underwear and just changing those?

Yes. Always wearing pants can keep things moist and dark, so can increase chance of thrush/uti/bacterial vaginosis etc. More so now complete hair removal is a thing and the skin loses the hairs wicking effect*

I don’t wear pants mainly because i find anything elasticated and close fitting uncomfortable and leaves marks on my skin. I don’t think it’s great having that pressure on your skin.

for the anecdotal “i always wear pants and never get thrush lot, an increased chance does not mean you definitely get it. Just that you have a higher chance, particularly if you’re prone or have other risk factors.
