Just woken up, had a crap few days with bad period pain and feeling icky as a result so I'm sure today will be the same!Envy

I'm going to try and muster up the strength to make a coffee in a min and probably read in bed for a while.

DP is taking the dog out later and I might go and meet my family in town for (another) coffee and pick up a few bits we need.

I'm really excited for next week though as I have my college enrolment for September (I'm 20 and need to do an access course before I can apply to uni next year!) and the new X-men movie is out the day after!!Grin

Oh and I need to bath the dog later on! 🐶

Waiting to get out of hospital. Read MN, go to loo, faff about rearranging belongings, check text messages. Five minutes have passed.
Realistically, it won't be before 2 which seems endless!

Bloodybridget · 02/06/2019 11:27

knackered I hope you have much less pain today! And that DDog appreciates its bath!

ineedtostopbeingsolazy · 02/06/2019 11:29

I've just got up and having a coffee. Dh is making breakfast. Have to do some washing and sort something for the dinner. Walk the dog.
Dds are still sleeping they were out last night. Ds is still at his sleepover.

Georgiemcgeorgeface · 02/06/2019 11:31

Mustering the energy to clean up after last nights bbq and trying to get rid of my hangover. That's it. Apart from serving DS ha.

MustardScreams · 02/06/2019 11:33

Dd’s dad has just picked her up, so I’ve gone back to bed with a coffee and a paper to recover from a week of 4am wake ups.

Will do a food shop later and then I need to crack on with deep cleaning the house. Endless excitement at Mustard’s house!

happyhillock · 02/06/2019 11:36

Got up at 8.45 bit of a hangover out last night, got washing on, beef cassarole in slow cooker for dinner, not doing much else today

PlatypusPie · 02/06/2019 11:37

Attacking the spare room nook that has become the repository for all kinds of stuff, mainly of DDs who have moved out and spare ( ie never actually needed ) things . Am being ruthless - sending pics to DDs with ‘ And this ? ‘ They are being cooperatively ruthless as well !

namechangedforthis1980 · 02/06/2019 11:38

Finishing washing and ironing after the holiday, whilst catching up on soaps

BBQ later!

Natsku · 02/06/2019 11:38

It's the first day of the summer holidays so I'm dealing with sleepover requests (leaning towards nope) and figuring out what we will do for our 'summer school' in the morning.

Going to walk to the nearby shop when DS wakes from his nap as I forgot to buy almost everything I need for dinner tonight when I did the food shop yesterday. Need to hang the washing up too.

purplereindeer · 02/06/2019 11:43

Currently drinking coffee and playing with the baby, trying to decide if we should brave Ikea or not.

We really need to buy the baby a high chair, given that at the BBQ we were at yesterday, he started solids by launching himself at my burger and eating a bit!

FrenchyQ · 02/06/2019 11:43

Got the house to myself for a few hours....DD is at her boyfriends for the weekend and DH has taken DS to Games workshop for a warhammer club thing.

I should be revising but the house is a mess so I can't concentrate til thats done. Will just do the main areas tho and put blinkers on when passing the kids rooms!

MustardScreams · 02/06/2019 11:51

@purplereindeer aww that’s the best kind of weaning! I wouldn’t go to Ikea on a Sunday though - amazon sell the Ikea high chairs with next day delivery for not much more!

Chipsahoy · 02/06/2019 11:55

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you are in less pain today op. And I hope you get out of hospital very soon @Bloodybridget.

So far I've been very productive. Been ruthless with my wardrobe and sorted out all the clothes I don't like or I don't fit into it I haven't worn in the last three yrs (usually do a yr but been pregnant and had a baby in the last yr).
Just having a cup of tea before bagging up the unwanted clothes ready for the charity shop.
Dh is about to go to the allotment to weed. Older DC are in their rooms playing with lego and baby is asleep.
After lunch, bike ride for Dh and me and DC are going to make a chocolate cake and decorate with their left over easter children chocolate.
Back to school tomorrow Sad

kaytee87 · 02/06/2019 11:58

We had a lie in til 10am today as ds was staying at my mums last night.
Having brunch just now. Ds has come home and is now napping, DH has gone back to bed too!
We might go swimming this afternoon.

FauxFox · 02/06/2019 11:59

Got up at 7ish had coffee then went for a long run by the sea Smile
Breakfast/shower
3 loads of laundry
Cleaned dds room (she was away doing d of e weekend this weekend and wasn’t looking forward to it so I’m making it nice for when she gets back later)
Tidied up generally and polished my grandmas silver so it can go on the sideboard instead of in it!
Changed the beds
Now having early lunch because starving!
Next will clean out Guineas and then Tesco on the way to pick up dd.
Not much else to do this afternoon so i will be able to relax after that...
Pasta for dinner later, couple of bits to do on the computer and need to help DS to pack his bag for back to school tomorrow Smile

beepbeeprichie · 02/06/2019 12:06

Just finished the Mount Everest of ironing piles. Mustering the strength to put the board away and then I need to start tackling the spare room. Also, I’ve been in my gym kit since first thing as I need to go out for a run. Confused

confusedofengland · 02/06/2019 12:11

Out of the house at 8am to drop DH & DS1 to yet another football tournament, even though the season is apparently over Hmm

Then home to do housework & animal care

Now at farm park with DS2 & DS3 before we pick up DH & DS1

Quiet afternoon in this afternoon as everybody will be shattered & Ds1 needs to do homework. I need to try & finish my Book Club book before tomorrow evening (it's 647 pages, I'm about halfway through Blush)

DerelictWreck · 02/06/2019 12:16

Working :( I have a normal M-F job in education policy but we're snowed under at the moment so I'm working all day today to try and get on top of it.

I did have an epic breakfast to try and get myself started, but all it's done is made me sleepy Blush

knackered2019 · 02/06/2019 12:17

@Bloodybridget Thank you! I hope you're okay, nothing too serious?

Hang in there, nothing better than being back homeThanks

knackered2019 · 02/06/2019 12:18

@Georgiemcgeorgeface Oooh a BBQ sounds like a good night! My go to hangover cure is a redoxen (vitamin c tablet) in some water and get yourself to McDonald's later onWink

OP posts:
knackered2019 · 02/06/2019 12:19

@purplereindeer I'd brave it, IKEA can be fun at times! Plus if baby has a high chair you can restrain him whilst you enjoy your burgers in peace Grin

Bloodybridget · 02/06/2019 12:27

Chipsahoy and Knackered thanks very much for good wishes - I've had a big gynae op so not a walk in the park, but it will be brilliant to wave goodbye to hospital blankets, which manage to be very heavy with almost zero warmth!

Georgiemcgeorgeface · 02/06/2019 14:22

@knackered2019 I was good and had dippy eggs and whole meal toast. Tackled the carnage and tidied up and now sat on my bum binge watching Netflix. Heaven.

Ginnymweasley · 02/06/2019 14:27

I am trying to get the children to entertain themselves for a bit so I can watch the rugby in peace. I'm a lifelong Bradford supporter but dh is a Halifax fan so it's a big afternoon in our house. Sadly he is working till half 3 so will miss the first half. Then it's a takeaway for tea due to a gas leak that has left us without a working cooker till next week.
