Creating a middle name

Hi,

I'm really struggling to come up with a middle name for my daughter (due october) my first daughters middle name is Miley. I chose that because is combined my grandmas name Milly and grandad name Sidney.

I would really like to combine my mums name and MIL name this time but really struggling. Their names are Audrey and Gail.

I like quite unusual names and were swaying towards Faith as a first name so it would need to go with that.

Any suggestions would be fab. TIA

Grey

Took me a bit to work out how you got Miley from Milly and Sidney (you just replaced an L for an E in Milly right?

If it’s not so much about creating a name that sounds like a combination of names like Sidly or Milney would have done I’d go for Grey or Reily at a push

Do you know anyone who is good at anagrams? Maybe that would be the way to go. I was toying with the name Ronah, if I had a girl, it's an anagram of my DN name, Norah, I loved that woman so much, a fighter to the end 💗

Mil - first three letters of Milly
ey - last two letters of sidney

Miley :)

I've been thinking Liarey pronounced leah-ray. I'd most likely need to double barrel it like Lia-Rey but I'm not sure it goes after Faith.

I got that using the last three letters of each name

Hanor is another way of using the name Norah x

I didn’t bother. None of my children have middle names.

PostNotInHaste · 30/05/2019 21:32

Doing them like an anagram there is:

Lara
Laura
Ada
Lydia
Delia

Isitweekendyet · 30/05/2019 21:33

I think you're going to have to Anagram them.

Aurelia?
Glaury? (Works well with Faith)
Ridley?
Aider?

If you google word generator from letters it produces all the words they make and lots of them are names!

We used my mum's maiden name. Q

Grey

Gadriel is kind of an anagram mash-up of the names. Also an angel which would tie in with Faith
Worth noting that gadriel is an angel of war and sometimes painted in a less than savoury light Grin. In other texts is the angel that ensures prayers are safely delivered to heaven.

Or going backwards Lyra, which is great if you're a musical family.

I've never heard of this and I LOVE the idea of combining to create a name!! Definitely stealing this for my next Grin sorry I have no helpful input, just complimenting your thought process and beautiful choices of name

Last three letters of Gail and last two letters of Audrey.
Faith Ailey sounds pretty.

I don't have a middle name, my kid doesn't. I'm not sure of the point of them
