Hi everyone,

Awhile ago there was a thread going where we wrote what our toddlers had eaten each day and it was great seeing how/what others were eating. It was really helpful.

I just wondered if anyone fancied starting it up again.

DS 22m
Breakfast - 1 1/2 pancakes made from banana egg and oats. 4 chunks of melon
Snack - 2/3rds of a satsuma
Lunch - pork loin steak, carrots, parsnips, peas. 3 bites of boiled potato with butter
Snack - was on a playdate so some scrambled egg as we arrived while they were eating lunch. 2 strawberries 2x crackers and couple pieces of pineapple.
Tea - couple chunks of chicken, slice of pepper and probably half a mouthful of egg noodles. 4 chunks of melon.

The fact we are approaching the longest day without signs of any heatwave atm is a huge relief to me
Please please 🙏 can we have a cooler one this year
Winter was so mild Here it didn't even make up for last summers hell

Soft poached egg and smoked trout on a mini toasted poppy seed bagel
Slice of proscuitto and a chunk of melon
Hummus beiruti with wholegrain pretzel sticks and baby carrots
Frozen yoghurt dipped banana slices

Tonight he will have a half falafel pita with tahini, baked aubergine, a very very mild zhoug paste and israeli salad. He will probably have a few bites of babka afterwards

meepmoop · 06/06/2019 18:20

B - 2 eggs scrambled and 1/4 tin of beans, slice of watermelon.
L - 3/4’s a jam sandwich, a bite of radish, half a banana.
T - quorn sausage, tomato risotto, two petit filou, an orange.

lifesnotaspectatorsport · 06/06/2019 19:46

We came home from holiday today so a bit messed up:

B: 1 buttermilk pancake & syrup, apple slices, blackberries & strawberries

S: Homemade fruit ice by the pool, handful of dates

L: flatbread & hummus, a falafel, halloumi slices

S: small bowl of strawberries with yoghurt and honey; a few mini crackers

D: full Ikea bowl of leftover bolognese mixed with rice and yoghurt; kids chocolate pudding dessert

DS is 2.2, generally good eater who loves fruit but veggies are a challenge!

Nicecupofcoco · 06/06/2019 19:55

My very fussy toddler has eaten...
1.5 weetabix with whole milk,
Snack, small box of raisins.
Lunch ( out today for lunch, wouldn't usually be) chunky chips, tiniest bite of cod, garden peas with carrot sticks.
Snack, apple rice cake.
Tea, crumpet with jam, few quavers, cucumber sticks, few slices of cheese.
Supper, whole milk and chocolate chip cookie.
I worry he doesn't eat enough! Hmm

Linus33 · 06/06/2019 20:05

Apologies for this slightly off topic post... and when they reach 17 years-old as in the case of my DS you'll be locking the kitchen door (when we go to bed) to stop them stripping the fridge like a locust.

But I so worried about what he didn't eat or drink when he was little and now I'm worrying about what he's not eating, which isn't very much. If it doesn't move it gets eaten! I admit it's not all healthy and it seems to be what the quickest and easiest to consume. This is laziness, not unhealthiness, at play!

DancerDan · 06/06/2019 21:20

FlatPackPat · 09/06/2019 19:23

And thank you @Linus33 for your post. I definitely see a ravenous Dust bin 6 ft 2 teenager in DS' future but also can't stop myself from worrying that he doesn't eat enough green stuff!

Porridge with raisins

A cadburys celebration choc

Mackerel pate on toast with cucumber and toms

Offered a full roast beef dinner. Actually ate peas, carrots, a tiny bit of broccoli and a massive Yorkshire with far too much gravy. Also managed a chew of beef before spitting it out. Hoping some iron will have got in there via osmosis

Peach crumble and ice cream

Cup of milk after being completely devastated that she wasn't allowed to have a hotdog

firsttimebabybirther · 09/06/2019 20:13

Breakfast - a pancake with grapes, strawberries and raspberries then stole half of his dads cereal Grin

Snack- one of those yogurt pouch squeeze things (great description)

3pm meal - roast dinner.

Snack- dairylea cheese stick , cucumber & carrot sticks , chocolate/pancake roll up thing.

Bit of an unusual day as meal at an awkward time and had a later nap than usual so didn't eat much from breakfast time until 3pm and would usually be more breakfast , lunch , dinner and snack chucked wherever needed in between.

Breakfast- porridge with almond milk, half a banana, cacao nibs and chia seeds (dunno if they do f all but DP insists on them being present!)
