Butter
If I only had a few dollars left, I'd still buy butter.
Not margarine, not 20-80 spread, just real pure butter.

Anything else, I'll do without, or by a substitute, etc

What is your "I'm not going without" thing?

NemosPoorlyFinn · 29/05/2019 10:58

Yorkshire tea bags
I can't stand anything else Wink

Fairylea · 29/05/2019 11:00

Clover spread
Pg tips
Galaxy chocolate
Revitalift day cream
Knickers from marks and Spencers

HotChocolateLover · 29/05/2019 11:07

Nice bacon. I’d rather have no bacon at all than buy the minging cheap bacon that tastes too piggy.

Walkamileinmyshoesbeforeujudge · 29/05/2019 11:13

Sorry vegi here but what would you prefer your bacon to taste of? HotChocolateLover??

Magmatic80 · 29/05/2019 11:15

Also bacon. I don’t buy it often, but I’ll go without rather than buy Danish.

Jojoanna · 29/05/2019 11:17

Loo rolls , hate cheap thin loo rolls

MotherWol · 29/05/2019 11:19

Proper coffee
Free range eggs
Real butter
Maldon salt

That's probably about it - I'm not a particularly fussy shopper, but I'd rather go without than buy caged eggs.

MayFayner · 29/05/2019 11:20

Ha, I saw your thread title and came in to say butter.

I’d reather have nothing than “spread” of any description Envy

MayFayner · 29/05/2019 11:21

Rather
Wtf is reather Confused

clarazabel · 29/05/2019 11:22

My first thought was butter too

MustardScreams · 29/05/2019 11:24

Butter here too!

Also organic eggs, good espresso and bread without all the chemical crap in. I’d rather not have any of those than eat below-par offerings.

isntthatslwaystheway · 29/05/2019 11:25

Butter! But also Bread, no point in having nice butter if you don't have lovely bread too 😋

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 29/05/2019 11:27

My gym membership. It is worth its weight in gold for the physical and mental benefits it gives me.

DarlingNikita · 29/05/2019 11:27

Good coffee, free-range eggs and high-welfare meat. I eat mostly veggie/vegan as I'd rather do that than buy cheap intensively farmed meat.

peonypea · 29/05/2019 11:29

Foundation

Toilet tissue

Dark chocolate

And similar to food products listed by pp above. I only get these from a local producer or else I go without:

Butter
Eggs
Cheese
Meat
Honey
Chutney
Spelt flour

BikeRunSki · 29/05/2019 11:29

Free range eggs, Yorkshire tea bags

Crapplepie · 29/05/2019 11:29

Tea bags. Don't you try to tell me those cheap shite ones you've bought are the same as my lovely ones DH!!!! (It's ok, I bought him cheap coffee, and now he 'understands!') Grin

AwdBovril · 29/05/2019 11:29

Butter
Decent dark chocolate (not necessarily expensive stuff, I just don't like the crap with lots of sugar & various vegetable fats instead of cocoa mass & cocoa butter)
YY to free range eggs, I'd sooner go without than eat caged eggs

3luckystars · 29/05/2019 11:29

Butter too

HasThisSoddingNameGoneToo · 29/05/2019 11:29

Good, real-leather boots. I've bought cheap boots once, and they made my legs sweat.

I'd rather save up for 5 years than go cheap again.

peonypea · 29/05/2019 11:30

Oh yes I only ever buy Maldon salt too.

Wouldn't ever change despite alternatives being far cheaper!

BikeRunSki · 29/05/2019 11:30

I have bought loose leaf tea when I have been time rich/cash poor, but it was still Yorkshire!

Coquohvan · 29/05/2019 11:32

Good quality pasta my DH would notice if I used a poor quality one, Italian knows his pasta.
