In my year at secondary (2006-2013) there were three Jessicas, three Alices and three Charlottes. My form had two of the Alices, two of the Charlottes and two of the Jessicas!! The Alices were both Alice D, too.
There were also two Natalies (not same form) and two Serenas (not same form).

Socksontheradiator · 25/05/2019 06:29

It's interesting spotting so many posters around my age, even if they don't mention which era.
I can see which ones were at school around the time my kids were too!

LuxuryWoman2018 · 25/05/2019 07:04

Suzanne, Joanne, Michelle, Nicola for girls. Chris, Dean, Paul for boys.

LarryGreysonsDoor · 25/05/2019 07:14

I don’t think any names had many multiples but they were all very ordinary names

Sarah, Emma, Claire, Lisa, Michelle, Joanne, Natalie, Donna, Andrea, Kerry.

Edward, Ian, John, David, Andrew, Steven, Mark, Stewart.

This was a school that was entirely white English children so not even any Scottish or Irish names.

We had one boy called Jay. This was considered extremely exotic and American.

anothernotherone · 25/05/2019 08:38

LarryGreysonsDoor we had a girl Jay and a boy Jay at primary - also probably among very few non new testament names. My name might have been the most unusual but I've never liked it, no idea why I never got around to changing it except that it's not worth the wailing my mother would have done, plus the general paper trail hassle the older you get.

hatethinkingupnamechanges · 25/05/2019 09:14

Karen; there were 6 in my year. Also multiples of Sarah, Fiona, Jennifer, Lindsay, Lisa, Lynn and Morven.

Andrew, John, Paul, Alastair and Douglas for boys.

A couple of years below me there were 5 Rachels in one class.

woodhill · 25/05/2019 17:15

Also Tim, Samantha, Penny, Michelle and Wendy were all popular names

woodhill · 25/05/2019 17:15

Andrew and Fiona

Jacqattacq · 25/05/2019 18:01

4 out of the 12 boys on my primary school class were called Paul.

For girls, there were a lot of Sarahs and nearly as many Rebeccas. (born late 70s)

CatoftheMilkyWay · 25/05/2019 23:50

Clair, Sarah, Louise, Joanne/a, Fiona, Alison, Kirsty, Ailsa

David, Stuart, Andrew, James, Stephen, Graham, Lewis

That was Scotland in 80/90s. Then when I went to uni in Fresher’s Week at least half the girls I met were called either Sarah or Laura.
