I've just had Morrison's own bland and tasteless sunflower spread. I want something delicious on my toast. Any recommendations?

President spreadable. It's the only butter I ever buy now.

Singlenotsingle · 17/05/2019 09:53

Lurpak butter, or Clover spread?

redwoodmazza · 17/05/2019 09:54

I liked Utterly Butterly.
I buy spreadable Lurpack now though.

Clover!

PorterBella · 17/05/2019 09:55

I really rate Kerrygold.

ASilhouetteAndNothingMore · 17/05/2019 09:56

Country life spreadable.

MockerstheFeManist · 17/05/2019 09:57

....Clover.

Or Aldi's Norpak

DulcieRay · 17/05/2019 09:57

Proper butter, obviously

sheshootssheimplores · 17/05/2019 09:57

I like the Aldi and Lidl spreadable butter. It’s very similar to Lurpak.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 17/05/2019 09:58

Any butter where you can see salt flakes in it.

That and some fresh crusty bread....

PretendNothing · 17/05/2019 09:58

Lurpak salted and full fat, about an inch thick. Nothing beats that!

H2OH20Everywhere · 17/05/2019 10:01

Ass PP, any of the butters with sea salt. Blinking wonderful!

Rubyroses3 · 17/05/2019 10:09

I have to second the Country Life.

SkiingIsHeaven · 17/05/2019 10:10

Dragon butter

ExpletiveDelighted · 17/05/2019 10:12

Lurpak slightly salted (not the spreadable one). Or President.

Tensixtysix · 17/05/2019 10:15

Countrylife spreadable. Closest thing to butter!

Fairylea · 17/05/2019 10:16

Clover! Can’t stand anything else.

pickletickled · 17/05/2019 10:16

Lurpak for me. Spreadable or block and it must be the salty one. I've tried others but always go back.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 17/05/2019 10:17

Why don’t you use butter. Buy a butter dish, you don’t need to refrigerate it, so you can leave it on the counter. Will be soft enough to spread. Nothing beats the taste. Nothing added apart from salt.

Don’t they say that “spreads” are one chemical component away from plastic??

HoustonBess · 17/05/2019 10:17

Actual butter. I don't trust spreads. They're like oil suspended in water or something? Eek.

MunchMunch · 17/05/2019 10:18

Lurpak salted, either spreadable or block or when I've been to France and had president butter I've really liked that.

bumpertobumper · 17/05/2019 10:18

Real, normal butter in a block. By far the best tasting.

Don't keep it in the fridge, no need. At normal room temp it is fine for at least 4-5 days, mine never around longer than that.

No need for the extra processing, added crap, and extra plastic of 'spreadable ' .
Real butter is better health wise too ( British heart foundation say so)

SoupDragon · 17/05/2019 10:19

Butter, any actual butter.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 17/05/2019 10:19

Just butter. I cannot imagine spreading crap onto my bread/toast etc when it doesn't even taste nice! As another poster said, keep it in a butter dish on your worktop so that it's always soft enough to spread and then you'll use (slightly) less of it. Overall it's better for you than artificial spreads that are usually in plastic containers.

QuestionableMouse · 17/05/2019 10:19

Anchor or country life. I use spreadable but the blocks are nice too.
