I found a really passive-aggressive note on a car...

In really neat handwriting for someone so annoyed.

I promise that it is not my car, and I did not write the note.

I think it's PA. in lots of places you might park partly on grass. I don't know if I'd know there was grass seed...

MisfitsMous · 16/05/2019 19:09

Its pa af! Was there signage about the seed? If not it would have just looked like bare earth, so the note writer needs to get real.

SpamChaudFroid · 16/05/2019 19:27

Politeness edging towards PA. On the cusp.

Turpy · 16/05/2019 19:32

I think it's PA and cringe worthy. Whoever parked the car was thoughtless but I'd have gone with a polite and NON PA message such as

Hi, please can you be careful not to park on my garden in future . I've just put down new grass seed. ☹️
Thanks

FiremanKing · 16/05/2019 19:40

TLDR

Note was far too long and boring.

A simple

You have parked over newly planted grass seeds. Don’t do it again or big Al will smash your fucking headlights in.

KatamariDamacy · 16/05/2019 19:47

I like FiremanKing’s note personally.

The car was parked wholly on a grass verge, just touching the pavement. The pavement and verge had been recently dug up, replaced and the grass reseeded. New grass has just started to show through.

We have a grass verge outside our house but I’ve never written a note like that when someone has parked on it. DH usually goes and politely suggests they park on the road instead.

Why was it parked wholly on the verge though? Confused

KaleidoscopeEyes · 16/05/2019 19:54

@Reallybadidea that note though 😂😂

FleurNancy · 16/05/2019 19:54

Surely the better option is to put a sign on the seeded area? Much less of a PITA than painstakingly handwriting a note to every single car who parks there without thinking.

NigellaAwesome · 16/05/2019 19:57

Am I the only one trying to decipher the etched in writing at right angles to the writing on the cardboard note?

Aridane · 16/05/2019 19:58

A remarkably restrained note in the circumstances!

KatamariDamacy · 16/05/2019 20:10

Not meaning to drip-feed, but it’s a narrowish road. There’s room for cars to park on one side only. It’s also a massively long cul-de-sac and they would have found a clear bit of road to park in all of 10 yards or so.

I'm the queen of PA when needs be and the opening line is PA.

However, they have a point.

Give grass a chance.

I don't think it's passive aggressive, but it is a bit patronising. I think it was written by a teacher, used to trying to phrase everything in polite positive terms!

Reallybadidea · 16/05/2019 20:29

@KaleidoscopeEyes

I know! Although if it had been left ton my car I'd have probably been a bit more outraged Grin

steff13 · 16/05/2019 20:34

If it was someone's lawn, they would have said so.

There's nothing in the note that precludes it being someone's lawn. Or otherwise their property.

steff13 · 16/05/2019 20:36

New grass has just started to show through.

Then they should have been aware that it was recently seeded, and not parked there.

KatamariDamacy · 16/05/2019 20:43

Not my car.

OP posts:
Jux · 16/05/2019 23:56

Oh I see! You're the note writer.

U2HasTheEdge · 17/05/2019 01:17

She isn't the note writer or the car owner. It says so in her first post.

I don't think it is a polite note at all.

CloudyForest · 17/05/2019 01:53

Sound to me like it was written by someone with far too much time on their hands.
