What is this song? Losing my mind ...

Male singer, slow grunge-y emo type balland, yearning vocals, slow build, melodic, quite up and down in the tones. Similar to Radiohead's Talk Show Host but less rock-y.
"I want to be ... la la la la la la" or similar vocals in the hook.
It may have been used in a recent TV programme or trailer, it's kind of spooky. Please can you help?!

I've added the last lot mentioned where I can - in otherwords when there's a song title and artist name.

Some song title aren't coming up with the artist give (just added golden slumbers by elbow as nothing for Munford and sons).

Was listening to the playlist - not going to lie, there's a good few tracks I skipped!!

Panic! At the disco def. has something, need to listen to more tracks than the obvious hits I could find on YouTube, but a bit too quick so far.
It's not the Killers Trevel Well but it's a mighty fine guess, may well be another Killers song.

Mike Patton (him off of Faith No More) has an album of called Mondo Cane which is covers of old Italian pop songs.

No idea if this helps the op but it's such a good album I thought I'd take the opportunity to let everyone know about it.
